We’d like to address the inaccuracies in your review. The apartment was thoroughly cleaned and in excellent condition upon your arrival. Unfortunately, after your departure, it was left in an exceptionally dirty state, far beyond normal usage, requiring extensive cleaning. The additional cleaning fee we requested reflects only the actual costs incurred due to this. As of now, this fee remains unpaid, and we’ve reported the matter—along with photographic evidence—to Booking.com for review. It’s clear that your review was written in retaliation for the cleaning fee, which is disappointing. While we respect all feedback, reviews motivated by personal grievances rather than an honest reflection of the stay are unfair to both future guests and hosts. Regarding the price, €31.25 per person per night for a fully equipped apartment with ski-in location—just 100 meters from slopes, restaurants, supermarkets, cafés, and 150 m from the legendary Pyhä-Luosto National Park—offers excellent value. Your booking was made at an unusually low rate due to an error, which made the additional cleaning costs even more significant. We take pride in maintaining high standards for our property and expect the same level of respect from our guests. Honest, fact-based reviews help create a fair experience for everyone.

The oven-stove top is a "safety-stove-top" and operates with the timer on the right-hand side, allowing you to set the cooking time. I wish you’d asked—I would have been happy to explain! It is also good to keep in mind that we are part of the amazing travel sustainability program and also follow recommended healthy room temperatures. Today we lowered the temperature to an other guest, since their opinion was that 22C is too hot. 😄

Thank you Zenith for the nice words. I checked the messages and found the photos from the cleaning company after your stay in the beginning of October 2023. One of the apartments was cleaned normally, thank you for that. 🙏 The other apartment was not cleaned, the beds were not made and the floor was not vacuum cleaned in addition to what you wrote. As you understand, if the lodge had not been checked and properly cleaned after you, our next guests would have been disappointed and would have demanded extra cleaning before their stay or money back. The cleaning fee is usually the double for so called ”surprise cleanings” since it mixes up the cleaning lady’s schedule. All in all, thank you for taking good care of the lodges, nothing was broken or anything like that. We thank you for your understaning regarding cleanliness.

Thank you for your feedback. Good to hear that you recommend our lodge. :) The heating is adjusted to a constant 21 C day and night and was that during your whole stay, (no changes in the temperature during your nights, I sent you a couple of screenshots from the high tech heating system report ;) ). The microwave is inside the cupboard under the fridge to spare space for cooking. The possibility to do the final cleaning yourself does not contradict any hygiene policy since the cleaning company checks the lodges after every single guest, (yes, after every single one!) and do an extra wipe of the surfaces, (this was written in your welcome letter and is of our highest priority). My apologizes for the heating poles. Very good that it was around 0C after you arrived. It was my mistake to have forgotten to turn it on in early autumn. They are switched off between late April-October, but were turned on after your stay, (charging of electric vehicles is forbidden from the heat poles all year around due to safety reasons, but the nearest electric car charging station is only 75 m away, this is also mentioned in the welcome letter). As also mentioned in the welcome letter we wish that our guests would let us know of any problems upon arrival so we can fix them right away. It was good that you told us about the electric poles, and it would have been very good if you had told us about the other things. We could have lowered the temperature for you and told you that the microwave can be found in the cupboard under the fridge. We had once one other guest that did not find the microwave so I guess I will have to add the location of the it in the welcome letter, even though it would be best to keep it short. ;) All the best Tamara!
