room was poor for the price paid and the food was also poor. also wanted to charge an extra 15euros a night for the use of a cot, which should really be in with the price of the room.

    the spa was nice

Second restaurant (Bistrot) offered only fairly standard dishes (hamburger, salmon with hollondaise sauce) and quality of food was not very high for the price of the dishes. Spa area is offering some diversity, but is too small to spend long time there. Also, the view is fairly disappointing, looking straight onto the grey fassade of the hotel building, 5m away.

Nice quiet rooms and beautiful view to the sea.

Spa bistro closes half an hour before spa closes (20:30) and after that there is nothing to eat if you don't want to go to manor restaurant. We asked from the staff if we can still order food at 20:30 and they said we can. But when we tried to order food at 20:25, they said that kitchen is already closed. Luckily we managed to get two last sandwiches from the bar. There seemed to be many others who would have wanted something after spa but there was nothing available. Spa itself is a bit small for a hotel this size, it was very crowded whole Saturday.

Breakfast was good and dinner at manor restaurant great. Manor itself is a attraction. Room at spa-hotel was clean and ok.

The hotel could use some renovation. Elevators were old and slow.

The mansion, champagne bar and the a la carte were fancy and historic. Service was excellent.

Small and a bit shabby room, very crowdy breakfast place (had to queue all the time). Not so attractive hotel house. Kids in spa not allowed after 6pm - as we arrived later and had to leave early we didn't manage to use spa at all.

Fantastic manor house and park around, nice to have meals in the old manor. Excellent restaurant.

    - Basic rooms (spa hotel) are located -3 floor down to reception. Hotel is on the hill so you don't are under the ground. First you go -2 floor on the elevator or dark staircase, then little bit corridor and again staircase. At least this point, you have a feeling that you are some how ended to East-Germany hotel ;) (look some pictures) and last corridor where was musty odor. First time also cigarette smoke. Little bit more light and brighter/lighter paint on the corridors and staircase will make a big difference how it feels. - Flip-flops was extra charge. - Room shower curtain is clean but terrible to use (look picture). Shower looking for it is designed to sliding door but is changed to curtain economic reasons. - Breakfast was served on the mansion you should walk there under the sky. No problems when is nice summer weather. - Between bed mattress was dirty (look pictures), should be at least vacuumed. - TV have bright LED clock which isn't nice when trying to sleep.

Breakfast was served on the mansion and it is good. Spa access is included to room price. Room looks okay... Receptionist take our bicycles inside thanks for that.

The hotel is a bit dated (and their clientele seems to have carried on with them through the years) and the corridors in particular could use a refurb. A bit far from Porvoo itself. Though you can catch a public bus for 3 Euro each way, they only run hourly. A taxi is about 25euro. Nothing else in the area. We cycled but closest other food is in Porvoo town 6 away.

Rooms seem to be sound proofed as we didn't hear any of our neighbours. Enjoyed the sauna and pools. Breakfast was as grandiose as you'd expect. Grounds and manor house are gorgeous and well kept. Heated bathroom floor.

The price was rather high (148e after discount) to stay in tiny room in the 70's block building. We would not fit in a cradle together with the pram 😕. It's a lovely surrounding, no beach though.I felt it was bit misleading to have everywhere the pics of the beautiful mansion and then be placed to the aging building.

Excellent facilities and helpful, friendly staff. The property surrounding the hotel makes for great walks and is very relaxing. Loved the indoor pool. Ate in both the Manor House and Spa Bistro, meals were excellent. 10/10 - Will visit again and have no hesitation in recommending to friends. Great location near the old city of Porvoo near the sea with hiking trails in the nearby forest and nice views over the Porvoo area from the hills. For a couple seeking a romantic getaway I would definitely recommend booking a room from the manor, it is something special you won't find in many places. Uber small bathroom in the room. The spa part is tiny, one small pool, not a lot of space. It was impossible to get any free time to a masseuse or any other spa treatments (trying to book well in advance). Breakfast poor as for **** hotel, tomatoes dry and old. The staff didn't want to prepare a soft boiled egg upon request, once again, you would expect that it would be possible in a four stars hotel. All in all, nice stay, but you would expect a bit more a bit better for this price in **** hotel.

The location is very nice, nice surroundings, the manor part is indeed super romantic. The staff was very friendly and professional.

    1. The view from the room's window was spoiled by the pair of old jeans hanging on the tree just in front of the window. 2. Unfortunately, construction works in the hotel complex and upcoming renovations made our stay less comfortable because of dirt and noise even in the early morning.

    Good breakfast.

There was no wi-fi in the room. The room itself was nice, but also rather small and cold. The breakfast was really poor. For one night stay it's ok, but for more it's too boring. Rather surprising was that the breakfast was in a separate building and everybody had to go out, especially when the temperature was 20 C below zero. The spa zone is too small for such a big hotel, that is why it was overcrowded and not relaxing at all. Also in spa it was very cold everywhere even in the pool and in saunas.

    Helpful staff, clean room

Some elements of room interior could have been renovated. Cleaning staff doesn't pay attention to the sign "Please do not disturb" and still knocks on the door.

The surrounding area and the garden are very eye-catching, the scenery is beautiful, the estate looks very impressive. Staff is very friendly and always ready to help. SPA is nice, features all necessary elements. Breakfast is fantastic, rich choice with lots of fresh fresh fruit choices.

Sauna working hours are inconvenient. For a SPA center you expect them to be longer. Closing hour of 9 P.M. is too early. Standard rooms are located in a new building, poorly ventilated as it is sunk into the hill, and are so cramped as if you were on a boat. I would definitely recommend rooms located in a standalone antic building, formerly used by the members of Russian czar family; they are quite expensive however.

Located in a rural area of Porvoo, this hotel is a gift for ones seeking for a leisure and comfortable travel in Finland. Hidden in the quiet of Karelian pine-woods full of cuckoo's cries, the hotel offers a brilliant place to relax. Yet it's just a 15 minute ride from here to the center of Porvoo.

It was the great weekend on the IDC2015 doberman championship. Great hotel, area near hotel, GALA dinner and many many other pleasant things. Thank's a lot. We'll come back with my family!

Room was very small when we put the ordered extra-bed for the kid. Breakfast is just about average. WIFI was not working in the room and it was difficult to find a good spot with stable connection also elsewhere. I need to mention that accomodation is not in the manor house, so you get the majestic feeling only in the main building where restaurant and conference rooms are located - but it's quite comfy and OK elsewhere too.

Beautiful, majestic setting by the river, in the woods, very well cared huge garden around the property, amazing manor house, we felt very special during our stay. Restaurant is not cheap, but very good quality. Super-friendly personnel.

Was expecting a room in the manor but this was a room in the other building. Should probably have read the fine print better.

The surroundings of the place are beautiful.

The magnificent location, the helpful and friendly staff. The meals at the Manor House and in The Spa Cafe. The Head Waitress always recognises me and gives me a friendly greeting. This actually means a lot to me.
