Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaThe construction activity underway, and the paths within the boundaries of the property were disruptive of the overall beauty of the experience, but I suppose this will be settled in due course. Also, I was very tempted by the Menu at the Bomba House but I wish there was a way in which it could have been somewhat affordable for me. However, this is not a complaint, simply a wish....
I enjoyed the breakfast as well as the location of the breakfast hall. The location of the resort is wonderful. I liked seeing the frozen expanse of the immense lake and can only imagine its sheer beauty in summer.

EstoniaA bit over priced. It's a shame that hotel visitors have to pay so much extra for the spa. The pools were disappointing and not heat regulated, the hot tubs were definitely not as warm as promised. No hair dryer in the room and old bad ones in the spa.
The breakfast was excellent. On our last day we had to leave at around 6am and upon request they kindly packed us a breakfast the night before. The place was really quiey. Great saunas. Friendly staff. Dryer in the room.

JapanOnly one sauna was included in the accommodation. There are two other kinds. It would be friendly to be available for non-spa users.
Breakfast was tasty and good. There were many different kinds of foods. One thing that caught my attention was most of all warm foods like sausages, scrambled eggs, etc. are a bit dry. I think keeping a warming flame is a good system, but needs some adjustment. We are around 9 am at the table.

United KingdomBomba last buffet time too early, was disappointing and no mention on website of being able to book the other resteraunt. Bathroom needs more towel space and not enough towels and nowhere to dry towels and swimwear. Spa was expensive for what it was and needs adult only every night. We stayed on a Sunday as a couple and didn’t enjoy sharing the spa with children. Website needs improving no clear information about evening resteraunts at hotel and not easy to navigate.
Lovely location, staff very pleasant, place good.

FinlandIt was my wife's birthday and I drove nearly 600 kilometers from Helsinki and promised my wife that I would book a room at the hotel, which I saw pictures of and the beautiful view of. My wife and I went to the hotel with great enthusiasm. Then, unfortunately, they gave me a wooden hut outside the hotel, while I paid about 150 euros for the hotel for the night, and I slept inside the hotel itself. But my enthusiasm was ruined. I was very embarrassed in front of my wife when they gave me the key to a wooden hut far from the hotel. 🥲
Unfortunately, I booked a room inside the hotel itself. When I went, they gave me a wooden hut outside the hotel, which felt like a prison to me. It was not good at all. The TV could not connect to the internet or YouTube. I tried everything, but three days passed without internet or TV.

FinlandIf you pay for access to the spa, bathrobe is not included. The price 172€ per night is a joke, the room doesn't worth it (tired furniture, dirty, dusty).
The spa is great, really nice facilities, hydro jets and cold water pool. Breakfast is OK, karjalanpiirakat are always a good idea.

BelgiumThe booking com description makes you think that the Spa is included. It's not. You have to pay separately. The Sauna is in the spa area and you have to pay even for that. So after paying a big amount to stay there we were still asked to pay for the use of the sauna. We found the spa area crowded and wet. So it kind of gives you the factory feeling. We skipped all that and used the jetty to swim. The first floor terrace is beautiful for a sundowner. Karelian cottages have no drying racks for swimming suits and towels. This is an inconvenience. Apparently rooms in the hotel have a drying rack with heat. We would have liked atleast a rope or a rack to hang the wet swimming clothes but this was not possible. The jetty is meant for spa guests and also the beach chairs are also for the spa guests. If you stay at the hotel and you want to swim you need to come around the hotel to get there. You are treated like a second class guest. The view is beautiful. I think the organisation of the rooms should be done more from a client friendly angle. I have stayed in hotels around the world and from a global standard the services offered are not good. It feels like flying a low cost airline, where you have to pay per service. Disappointed.
It's a beautiful location and we loved the lake and the swim. The cottages are nice.

United KingdomFood offering and facilities on rooms.
The hotel is in a lovely location. We stayed in the houses away from the hotel. Dining options is pizza hell or a set menu of 4 courses, at a rather high price. The rooms in the huts contained not one spoon, knife or fork. Not a single glass even in the bathroom but four shabby paper plastic cups. The level of rooms were not acceptable considering the price and the facilities. I would not recommend this facility.

FinlandThere was an on-going renovation and already noisy during the morning. The souvenir shop was still close. We haven’t had dinner at the Bomba talo because it was reserved for some guest. Reception should have reminded or given more info about these. We have to pay for the use of bathrobes and slippers.
The swimming pool was big enough since there wasn’t a lot of people during our stay. We had the jacuzzi by ourselves. Excellent that there is a dryer inside the room. Staff at the reception, as well as in the Trattoria restaurant, were very nice and friendly. The food was good.

FinlandThe cottage was far below the expectation, and too overpriced for the quality. The cottage was freezing cold. Cold wind was blowing through the walls all the night and as a result I got sick and had to upgrade it to a normal room the next day. The description of the cottage is misleading. It is expected to be warm. I wanted to spend a relaxing holiday but instead I got sick. Also the toilet is not as the pictures show. It is common to have a small toilet shower, but in the cottage I have got there was not. Cottage number was 112.
The location and the spa are great. Staff was helpful.

FinlandAs a repeat customer; I think the place could be bigger. I mean, it is easy to experience everything on one stay. The nature does provide some changes, but that’s outside of the property. As a customer, I yearn for the feeling of discovery. Something new, something I can not experience on one go, a reason to come back.
Clean, nice kitchen (you see them working),
