Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FinlandThe O’Leary’s restaurant is too expensive for the quality of food served.
We spent a couple of nights there and booked 2 rooms for a family of four with a small dog. The room was comfortable but would have needed some hoovering under the beds. The spa is nice and clean and there are many things to do. The smoke sauna was appreciated. We also enjoyed walking along the Aura river nearby to the city centre.

AustraliaBreakfast was nice, location was a short walk from Turku city centre. We went with our 9 month old daughter and were pleased that there were child-friendly facilities (high chairs and changing areas in the changing rooms for the pool area). There was also a cot available in the room but it cost 20 euros.

United KingdomStaff chatting to themselves at Check-in, not noting customer at all. Room rate doesn’t include spa, which wasn’t mentioned at booking. Also charging for robe and slippers and not handing out towels in the spa, you must bring your own towel from the room. Would be nice if the pool program was displayed in lobby, spa and room somehow, missed excercise class as wasn’t even aware they had some.
Room was comfortable, good breakfast. Managed to use spa at quiet times 4-5pm and 9am in the morning. Check-out staff lady was wonderful.

FinlandOutdated hotel. The room is poorly cleaned, the walls are shabby, the furniture is broken, the shower has cracks in the floor and mold. Slippers and a robe NOT free, despite the fact that you seem to have come to a spa hotel.
Breakfast, despite the absence of banal croissants.

AustraliaCheck-in was incredibly slow, despite having multiple counters. Only one was handling all the guests, and later on, another person came but combined both the desk and kiosk services, which caused long delays. The service at the front desk could definitely be faster, especially during check-in time. We also had an unpleasant surprise with the cleanliness of the facilities. The restroom near the reception was not up to standard—it was dirty, which was disappointing for a hotel of this calibre. The property gets really crowded during holiday seasons, which is expected, but the service struggles to keep up. For the price you pay, it’s a bit frustrating that we still had to pay extra for bathrobes and slippers, plus additional spa fees During breakfast, it felt like pure chaos. The coffee was spilled on the floor on the coffee station, and it was difficult to find a clean table. The staff was slow to clean up, and the food was just okay, nothing special. There’s so much potential here, and with a little attention to the details, it could be a great stay. However, based on this experience, I feel there are a few areas for improvement, especially considering the price and popularity around family holidays.

FinlandThe bathroom didn’t have hand soap, the bathroom door lock didn’t work, other light in bathroom didn’t work. TV:s didn’t work due to some problem. Also the other bed didn’t have a night table. The room was dusty. Also spa shower floors were dirty and there were no sauna peflets to sit on. Restaurants were suitable for kids but would be great to have more variety in restaurants (not only hamburger and pizza).
It was nice to have 2 rooms with a door in between. Made the visit easier with family. The staff was friendly. Also great to have both spa with slides and superpark for kids activities inside the hotel. Kids enjoyed! Location was also good.

SwedenBreakfast closing time (10 am) was too early considering holiday (new years day). Furthermore, it felt that we had to rush out of the breakfast hall, as the cleaners came already at 10 am sharp. As a frequent traveller, it is standard that breakfast times are longer during holiday periods, allowing a convenient start to the day.

FinlandWe had to pay additional to use the swimming pool and spa. I mean, it would not bother if it was included already in the total price. Paying for the pool as we had a room felt awkward. Also, the breakfast was sufficient but not well organized in had long queues, making us just stick to whatever we could get quick.
It is very close to the city center, so finding a good dinner spot was easy and uber was a cheap option.
