Very good hotel with big rooms. Located at the ferry port, so you would expect more traffic, but it was quite calm. Only some footminutes to the old castle, worth to visit. Some restaurants nearby. Great breakfast.

The room smelled of BO because it wasn't aired out after cleaning. The windows were small and we had to keep them opened the whole night. The furnishings were old.

The breakfast was very hearty and tasted good. They had a lot of selections.

Decor in room was dated - the exterior of the building was lovely but the interior especially the rooms could do with modernising and updating.

Unfortunatelly, outdated facilities, beds you fall off as far too soft most likely as over due. Bathroom freezing and no space to land anything on. Showercurtains are nasty in use.

Location, parking and personel which was nice indeed.

Despite asking for a double bed we had two single beds pushed together. Needs a kettle in the room for boiling water to make tea. A coffee machine is not sufficient for making tea.

This hotel is perfectly placed for getting on a ferry to Sweden as it is right in the port. If you want to go into town it is a 15 minutes walk or you can get a bus from right outside the hotel. The castle is only 5mins away and well worth a visit.

Somewhat pricey for single travellers. I would also have appreciatet if the restaurant were open later or the reception had more snacks for sale. There aren't many restaurants in the area.

The room was spacey and nice. Nothing fancy, but everything you'd expect from a hotel of this price class. Great location as I took the morning ferry.

There was really nothing at this hotel that I did not like

This is a nice hotel built elegantly into an old port building. The atmosphere was nice and the room comfortable as well as a very good bathroom. The quality and selection of the breakfast was good and it started early in order for the guests going with the ferries in the morning to have an unhurried breakfast. The gastronomy pub menu was short but both of us found very good quality dishes at a reasonable price. In all a really enjoyable stay.

    - Very inconvenient to get there unless arrival time matches the train schedule (only 4 trains per day). - No elevator! (if you're a small senior citizen with back & hip problems like me, you need to call someone to help carry the luggage using the stairs.) - No service at all! I hang the "Please make up room" sign at 8AM and went out, came back at 8PM, the sign was still hanging, and the room wasn't made.. I had no towel, since I took the room towel to sauna on the previous night as the staff told me to. The trash bin was full as I discarded many things. The room smelled bad from the bowl of take-out fish soup I had on the previous night and the restaurant staff told me to just leave the dishes in the room.

    - Close to the ferry terminal.

According to photos, rooms should have electric kettle, but it seems, all rooms have a small capsule coffee machine instead (while tea bags were also provided along with coffee capsules). So, you can make boiling water in the capsule coffee machine for tea, but the tea will have a coffee flavour then. Breakfast is not very varied.

Bed and pillows were comfortable for us. Rather quiet place for a good sleep.

Google map shows a station nearby. I am told this doesn't function and if you want a train connection two Helsinki you need to take the bus - into Torku, or do as I did & walk the 3 Kms into town along the river bank

Quaint . Old but brightly decorated , clean. Not super duper tech but comfortable. . I think it has been converted from an indoor market and as such it is far from stereotyped. TEA MAKING FACILITIES In bedroom. Location, loaction, location ... Straight off the ferry into the hotel.
