I didn’t like carpets in the bedroom and the fact that you can not turn off the aircondition. I also thought that the colors used in the interiors was a little bit dark for my taste (A lot of brown and beige). I also don’t like the style of the interior and wish it could have been more fininsh design (more light colors and light wood). I also would have liked a better contact between the inside and the outside areas. I missed having the possibility to sit outside to eat (when the weather is nice) and to have a terrace to the café for example. I also didn’t like the fact that the small train didn’t go from Naantali town later in the evening. In a way this forces you to spend the evening in the hotel, at leadt when you have smaller children.

We liked the big size of the rooms and that they were very clean. We, specially my daughter (7 y) loved the swimmingpools. The food in the restaurants were really good (both TK’s and Thai gardens). We also appreciated the good service in the reseption. The staff could not have been more helpful.

No air conditioner in the room. Only one set of toiletries for 2 guests, 2 nights. The breakfast was very basic (and beacon always over cooked to charcoal). Common steam sauna for men and women with “no bikini/no shorts” rule. On Sunday and Monday most of the facilities are closed. Overpriced (200 euro/night). Open unguarded parking is charged extra. Poor value for money.

Great location by the bay, helpful and friendly staff, big pool which was not crowded at all. Quite good food and excellent staff at TK restaurant.

OK stay at the Naantali Spa

The only constructive feedback I have is regarding the Spa Residence. I found it very strange and somewhat disturbing that there is sales office at the first and second floor of the residence where apparently holiday shares are being sold. Every time we walked to our room we had to go through this office, which is partly built from plywood and looks like a do it yourself closet. To me it's just weird to have this type of "establishment" in the middle of what I consider quite a luxurious resort. Furthermore, usually these offices had doors open and you see sales people laying back on their chairs with their feet on the table. Re the swimming area, it would be a great improvement if they had at least one or two water slides for the kids.

I really like the Naantali Spa hotel as it's very family friendly and always provides a relaxing experience. The property has both interior and exterior kids playgrounds and of course the actual spa has nice swimming pools and great sauna. There's also a few good restaurants on property; buffet, Thai and TKs pizzeria. We usually choose the latter, which is great for dining with family and has excellent pizzas. This time we stayed at the Spa Residence which is a separate building next to the actual Spa and Hotel. The room was awesome with lots of space and large balcony with sea views. Breakfast has also always been great at the Naantali Spa.

Bathrooms were not clean and have not been well maintained. Grout is dirty. Staff was not helpful on many occasions. The room we booked was not available and we were downgraded without compensation. Two single beds pushed together and a sofa bed are not the equivalent of a double room with seating area. Even after speaking to a manager, no attempt was made to even improve the situation. No bellman or assistance with bags upon arrival. The list goes on...

The food and drinks were overpriced, especially considering how basic the meals were. It was just simply not fresh. The burger meal had vegetables from readily cut wholesale bags - definitely looked and tasted so! Also the bun and patty were far from fresh, probably from the freezer. As for the rooms, the room decor was quite dated and miserable. It's also ridiculous that the slippers in the room weren't included in the room price, nor was parking! And the room was priced as if this hotel was in London or NYC.

Good, polite staff, a nice spa where everything felt clean enough. A few warm jacuzzis!

    - The Spa area could have little less light and more warm and peaceful music - I guess the idea to be there is to relax. - One day there was a mix-up on changing rooms and showers - so I walked in to mens showers and it was saying very clearly that it was mens shower, but it was full of girls! because from other end, it was saying it was women showers! - Breakfast at the restaurant could have more fresh food and variety - it was way below average. - Cafe had limited selection of items for snacks and was closed late evenings. - Staff did not speak or understand English. - bathroom was not well maintained - the wash basin had some drainage problem.

    - Water temperature in the pools - Two Jacuzzis - cheese sandwich at the cafe

Long waiting time for checking in and out for a 5 star hotel; Mediocre choice of a la carte restaurant; Cafe/bar area are average; Parking needs to be paid separately; No special care for returning customers

    - You have to pay 2€ for a conditioner bottle at the spa, they give it for free in the hotel room and considérons the price of night + treatments it felt extrêmely cheap. - Cleopatra bath is too short and has nothing special for its price. Pointless. - restaurants are pretty good overall but expensive for what you get. - while the hotel is "Nice" its not a five star hôtel at all. -staff doesnt speak a very good english

    - The wine cellar was lovely we had a great time - our bedroom was beautiful and calm - breakfast Buffet was excellent

The parking is no longer free, they charge you 10 euros per night which is understandable, but the information about free parking facilities has to be changed.

Location close to Moominland. The swimming pools and saunas. The location by the sea with a sandy beach. The choice of restaurants with childrens`menu. The child friendly atmosphere with clowns, playrooms etc.

Design feels a bit dated at times. Not enough power outlets in the room. Charging for slippers to go to the spa? If you want to go to the spa after the checkout you have to rent a towel for 3 euro. And finally, lots of noisy children, which is ok if you're with kids too, but can be annoying if you're not.

Beautiful view to the lake. Short walking distance along the sea to the center of Naantali (15 mins). Good variety of restaurants in the hotel.

Standard deluxe rooms are very old with a smell of old place, very poor sound isolation, breakfast is all the same every day, breakfast and rooms don't meet 5 or 4 star hotel requirements, I would rate it as 3 star hotel and price per night should be lower.

Free wi-fi, closeness to Muumimaailma and Naantali satama, piano player in the lobby in the evenings, two playgrounds for kids, nice bikes for rent.

Nothing sprcial for diabetics at breakfast, although 10% of the finnish population suffers from the illness. We feel the slippers should be included in the price for everyone using your facilities, like elsewhere in the world.

We were pleased to notice that you have been able to keep up the standard, don' let it slump.
