Very clean and comfortable room. The bed was also very comfortable, especially pillows. Overall, the hotel is very cozy and atmospheric.

Check in was a bit slow and the air conditioning is like in an old building- not so efficient as it could be. Not major problem though

I would say that the price was rather high, at least during the time we were staying. Perhaps it's becoming a norm everywhere. Tampere seemed to be a rather expensive city accommodation-wise. Anyways, if you're considering staying in more affordable apartment hotel nearby, I would advise against it. This hotel offers a much higher quality of sleep and comfort, making your visit more special. You won't regret spending a bit more here.

Very quiet, warm room with a superb bed and cushions. I had a really good sleep there. Having lived in Tampere in the past, I always wondered what it would be like to stay here as a guest. Now, I finally got the chance, and it was a pretty nice experience. The staff members were really welcoming, and the hotel ambiance is charming. We loved our breakfast, with a good variety even for vegetarians. All in all, a good impression, would love to stay here again. Cute views :)

Room was very hot, in august. Luckily there was a fan. Very noisy, because they were working outside. There was a huge street renovation in front of the hotel.

Beautiful art deco hotel. This hotel looks like a museum, fantastic. The staff is amazing, extremely helpfull! Diverse and delicious breakfast. Very central, 10 minutes walking to the train station.

Only one elevator and I stayed at the top floor.

It was the first hotel in a while where I slept like a baby. Normally I´m awake most of the night but something made the stay very comfortable and cosy. The hotels´ original appearance had been preserved to look like as it was when it was built.

The breakfast in that amazing dining room was superb, but could we have some ‘riisipiirakkas’ next time ?!

Wonderful historical setting; not just the history of the hotel itself and it’s wonderfully preserved period decor, but the physical setting of the hotel alongside the rapids that made Tampere into such a key city. It was a great stay in a great city. We loved it!

The beds have weird egg carton foam toppers. I thought these went out in the 1990s. I think they should upgrade to more modern bed toppers.

My views were not great, just a wall of opposite building. Smallish bed.

Nice old looks, but still good condition. Repairs done in similar fashion and even toilet had old looking appliances! Staff was friendly and brekkie good. Great location.

There are roadworks around the hotel and the town. Ask for a room overlooking the park, and you will not hear the noise.

Very nice, old world charm hotel, lovely ambience. Overlooking the fountain in the park. Comfortable bed, nice room if a bit small. Very friendly sweet staff. Enjoyed the breakfast. Would definitely stay here again, we really enjoyed it.

There were roadworks going on all around the hotel which started at 7am and we arrived past midnight and really needed to sleep! They were very noisy.The children's beds were extremely uncomfortable, so much so that it was really hard for them to sleep.

The location was excellent, the staff friendly and helpful and breakfast was great. The view across Tampere was amazing.

It’s an old hotel with no A/C inside the room. The temperature inside the room is above 27, you have to keep the window open to get some cool breeze otherwise you couldn’t fall asleep.
