The rooms are tight for space - to fit in the shower, toilet, kitchenette, cot and a double bed was a squeeze! If your budget allows then you can probably get something bigger. The location was a bus ride from the town centre but good for going onto the airport.

Lovely hotel - fab foyer and loved the piano there to play on! The bar was fab, playing pool and games with a cracking drink. Spa facilities are great and the saunas/hot tub on the rooftop with the views are brilliant. We had to rush breakfast as we were catching a flight but it had a good selection. The room we had was small and needed to do some changes as we had a baby and needed a cot but was all sorted quickly. Staff were great!

The cleaning could be better. One day we came to the room and there were no bags in the litter bin. So we could see the bottom was full of yucky stuff like previous guests' nails etc.

Hotel is easily accesible by public transport. We enjoyed the breakfast, the staff was friendly and overall our experience is very positive.

When booking the room, we selected the bit more expensive option with entrance to the roof-top spa, so it was slightly disappointing finding out at the hotel, that bathrobe and slippers were not included in the price and we had to pay an additional fee (15 EUR/person) for receiving them. The room we booked was a room, that could be converted into a workstation by lifting the bed, just perfect for those of us who need to work while traveling, however when we lifted the bed, we could see that the floor would deserve a good vacuum cleaning/mopping.

We can say, that we got what we expected. A tiny room, but well equipped. This hotel was just enough for one night before returning home via Helsinki airport. On-site self-check-in could be more fluent and intuitive, but we managed to get the keys ourselves, which helped us avoid quite a long queue at the reception. We appreciated the self-service mini café in the lobby area. We enjoyed an extra delicious dinner in the hotel restaurant. Breakfast was also good and sufficient.

The window-side bed is too close to that wall: very difficult to get out of that bed! The cutlery of the restaurant is surprisingly unpleasant and looks old and damaged. The coffee should be better/stronger (hard to get better brewed coffee in Finland..). It is too unclear what the difference is between a Standard, a Comfort and a Luxurious room is (on the website). The garage should be free of charge for hotel guests, or included in the room price as an option (and at a cheaper price for 24 hours).

Perhaps a rearrangement of the furniture so that there is more space in the rooms. But again, I'm sure there are other rooms that offer this.

The quietest and most relaxing hotel I have ever been to. One of the best holidays I have ever had, since I was able to calm down and have a rest there. Perfect breakfast, polite staff, tidiness (towels were changed almost every day) incredible location, with public transport , supermarket and a mall ,all very close . While in the city you feel like you are in the countryside. Everything was really amazing!

.... Modern technologies in a form of automatic check in and out terminals are putting certain distance between hotel and client...From twenty years in a hotel industry I feel this is more than a step back and sincerely I hate it. Knowing before that I would be asked by receptionist to do the check in by myself with words "if you need a help, let me know", I have not reserved the stay. There were three ladies at reception at that moment. Another comment is related to not impressive selection during breakfast and how certain items are presented. Not a rocket science... you have perfectly designed hotel and bunch of very smart personnel around, so may be you can figure out something more attractive. You are not some 3star hotel on the side of highway.

Not my first time to Valo Hotel. Hotel is all great, carefully and modern designed, well maintained. Rooms cozy and comfortable, bathroom with space enough for one medium size adult. Easy to park, ten minutes with car from city center. In general I like and love the hotel....but...

The windows cannot open so no fresh air comes inside. Only with air conditioning but I like to sleep with window opened.

It is a nice hotel, quiet, close to everything you need. Spa is average but it is nice.
