Some kind of view other than the neighbouring houses peering into my room!

Staff were extremely pleasant and helpful...unfortunately my room was the size of an eggbox. The only way to open the suitcase was to put it on the table/window ledge!

You can expect more of a hostel than a hotel, but with that in mind I've got no bad to say.

Car rental was easy, though some of the staff were a bit confused. ;)

The hotel is fairly basic (again Faroese standards) so dont expect luxury. Less mobile guests might not like the fact that there is no elevator available. The walls are quite thin so guests getting up early or speaking loudly might annoy you a bit. Parking in front of the hotel is free and although I never had to park elsewhere it gets a bit crowded due to people going to the surrounding buildings parking here as well. The road next to the hotel leads to the harbor and traffic is a bit noisy if you have a street-side room.

This hotel is located at walking distance of the centre of Torshavn, right next to Skansin. The city is not that big, but still its nice to no have to walk far. Compared to other hotels the pricing is fair (for Faroese standards) and the breakfast which is included offers a fair selection of produtcs. A coffeemaker is available all day for free if you want to sit down and relax for a bit. Staff is friendly and uncomplicated.

3 star hotel and no lift! Mounting stairs with heavy suitcases was very difficult. Very many large bags of dirty laundry were stacked up in the entrance and on the upper floors for several days.

The breakfast was varied and good. The beds were comfortable and the view over the sea a good surprise.

There seems to be a consistent problem with cleaning of the rooms, especially in the bathrooms - both the smell and the hairs in the shower from the previous guests were really disgusting. The breakfast was fine, but the bread was really hard as if it's been lying there for ages. Also the staff was not as friendly and welcoming as one might expect, even for a basic hotel. It was fine for 3 nights, but not more, and I would probably not go there again.

Good location, got upgraded to a double room without asking for it!

Perhaps to concentrate more on cleaning, there were quite a lot hair in the bathroom and some shredded paper on the floor when we came. Otherwise nothing else to remark.

Great breakfast! Hotel is located at an excellent spot, awesome views and the city just a short walk away. Guest car service magnificent! Such great service and we were happy with our stay. Room is simple but got everything we needed. Just perfect.

The room was short of basic toiletries - soap and hand wash. This was rather distracting, as we were required to purchase our own.

Disappointed to realise there were buildings in front, I had got the impression from the description and photos it was overlooking the sea. Not as remote as I had imagined, in a row of buildings next to the police building. However so convenient for the ferry and town

We booked a sea view, and indeed got that by the fact that we were at the end of the building so could see between the two buildings in front. Having said that, the hotel was clean, warm and comfortable, and ' no nonsense'. Clean bathroom and simple facilities. Breakfast was good, not outstanding. Location excellent.

Rooms looking at the harbor were exposed to some day-time street traffic noise and not a great view but better than looking at the back rock wall.

The staff, breakfast, and beds ( including duvets) were great. The parking was quite restricted - we were lucky to find a spot off the street next to the hotel. The location was relatively quiet and convenient for walking into the center of town.

The photos are accurate. However, in general the hotel, the corridors, stairs and the room decoration seemed more like a hostel than a hotel. Compared to the relatively high price (Faroe accommodation is expensive) we did not fully think it was value for money.

The service and help of the staff, the possibility and easyness of renting/using a car of the hotel for a small amount of money, incredible. We would have rented the car directly through Hotel Streym if we had information about this possibility at booking.

Rooms are very basic. Everything is from IKEA. Bathroom is old.

This is a very basic hotel near the harbour and city center. Breakfast was very nice!

    No cozy common areas

Easy to walk to port and 'downtown'. Very practical and indeed 'no-nonsense'. I would stay there again.

Very limited television choice particularly news channels

Staff delightful. Made you feel at home and more than happy to answer questions. If I returned or had friends going would advise them to stay there

The rooms were pretty simple furnitured; beds and toilet were OK, but you got the "something is missing here" when you were in that room. This was a room with sea-view in the second floor.

A very nice located hotel by the sea in walking distance from the town centre. Car parking outside the door, and easy to find by car.
