“Superb location in a medieval village. Nice and quiet room. Property easy to find. Shower was powerful, hot and spacious. There was a furnished outside space which would have been useful had it not been raining. Great boulangerie on the square near the clock tower.”

“Saint-Macaire is a very small, local, beautiful village. As it is so small, there are only a few cafes and restaurants, but well worth the trip for one night. If you go, you must stay here! Firstly, the location was right in the centre of the village, so everything you wanted to see was within a 5 minute walk. Pascale the host gave us a local walking map, recommendations for restaurants, helped us call them for bookings (as we don't speak French) and even gave us a ride to the train station the next day (as we were training from Langon). He also prepared a lovely breakfast with homemade marmalade & honey. Overall it was an amazing stay, and Pascale made it even better :)”
