Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomAlthough there was a lift in the hotel, unfortunately there was no lift from the ground floor entrance on street level to the hotel reception on the first floor, only a staircase, so for people with mobility issues this might not be the hotel for you. However the staff are happy to provide assistance and also carry luggage up and down the staircase.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, right in the heart of Paris. This hotel is perfect for people who want to get out and about and explore the city. The hotel staff were friendly and the continental breakfast was nice. The bathroom was a decent size and it was very clean. The room was more than adequate and it was also very clean.

United States of AmericaThe size of bedroom. It seems there is A/C installed in the room. But there is no instruction how to operate it. I tried on the controller and found it was NOT working.
Location is great. The bedroom is fairly small. The bathroom is reasonable.

United States of AmericaThe rooms are small. The round stairway to get to the rooms is difficult to carry luggages and can easily slip. I saw a person slip down the stairs but luckily she was okay with some scratches. The elevator starts at the 2nd floor but can fit tightly two people at most.
Excellent location. Conveniently located in the center of many restaurants, shops, markets and subways.

ItalyYou get what you pay for. I had low expectations given the price and was happily surprised by the room, but it was definitely a small, worn room with a couple of lights not working.
The location was excellent, being right next to Les Halles metro station, which is a connection point for many metro and train lines. The air conditioning worked well. The location combined with the air conditioning for the price was a happy surprise to find in Paris in the summer.

United KingdomRooms were a bit small. This made it difficult for two people to get ready at the same time. The elevator only started on the 1st floor, which meant that any suitcase had to be carried up a spiral staircase to reception. Not suitable for elderly of disabled customers.
The location. Very close to a main line train station with direct line to CDG Airport. Very convenient for Notre Dame, the Pompidou Centre and many other tourist attractions. Lots of Bars and restaurants to choose from.

United States of AmericaProblem with the room: the only power outlet I could use to charge my powerbank during the night was next to entrance door and I had to put my powerbank on the top of radiator. Not a problem during the summer, but not sure whether it would be a good idea during colder time when radiator would be heating the room up Their lift/elevator is very small and it could fit 1 person and 1 suitcase. Stairs from ground floor to the reception area are a bit steep.
Great location: shopping center within 2 minutes walk, a few metro stations within 2 to 5 minutes walk, any kind of restaurants are all around, laundromat within 5 minutes walk, Also, if you wish, you can walk to Louvre and Notre Dame of Paris and be there within 15 minutes. Gare Nord and Gare l'Est train stations are also very close. I needed somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes to get there from the hotel. Bed was Ok

AustraliaDuring this most recent stay I needed the wifi for a zoom call I had before departing. The wifi was out of action when I was there with no capacity to get it fixed before my stay finished. The lift only starts from the first floor so ground to first floor requires bringing luggage up a staircase. On arrival I had a helpful staff member who assisted with my bags but not all staff are so accommodating here I have found. Some are amazing, others seem to just tolerate my presence! The room is very small even by Paris standards and if I was a larger person the shower could prove difficult to fit in.
I have stayed at this hotel previously for it's great location right next to Chatelet station. Some staff are wonderful and do much to assist during the stay.

AustraliaBathroom a little small and dated but was clean with good shower. Stairs of the narrow, winding Paris variety. The restaurant scene immediately below was a little noisy at night if you looks to keep your window open.
Lovely bright room with large opening window overlooking street below. Friendly staff helped with luggage up flight of stairs to reception (lift starts at reception after a few more stairs). Perfect location for walking: within minutes of my early evening arrival I was walking along the Seine; the next day I walked easily to the Tuileries Gardens, the Orangerie, the Musee D’Orsay and St Germain du Pres. Close proximity to shops, cafes, Les Halles and an excellent Monoprix for takeaway food. Very pleased to have discovered this small hotel for my stay.

AustraliaThe rooms were incredibly small and even more so with the extra bed. Although it was reasonably clean it was very shabby and I’m just thankful that we only used it to sleep and shower. The lift was absolutely tiny and only fit one suitcase and one person at a time and was very slow
property was well situated and right in the heart of the ‘food district’. Very close to Notre Dame
