-Balconies need some care/ attention -Shower faucets cleaned/ replaced -would be nice to have some changing rooms for the pool (currently bathrooms near pool suggested to be used, however no hooks installed).

Breakfast was fresh and of good value Off street parking available (plus Sunday free) Location for walks around Vichy, shopping, and restaurants.

Housekeeping forgot to put clean towels in the bathroom. The airconditioning didn't work all that well.

The town of Vichy is exceptionally nice. We stayed there as a lay-over on the way back home from the south of France and we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful art-deco town, the park, the river and the town festivities with music and dancing in the park. The spa was a real treat.

The rooms are clean, bright and large but the decor would benefit from an update. It is very difficult to park your car near the hotel.

Hotel is fantastically situated in the heart of the town and close to both the river and the Parc des Sources. The hotel is reminiscent of times gone by, but the rooms are large, clean and comfortable.

Perfect location, 5 minute walk to city centre and 5 minutes walk to gardens on banks of Lac de L'allier. I had a great room overlooking the park and Opera house, room was beautifully large, and well appointed. Because it was convenient to all other facilities I didn't eat in the hotels restaurant. I was in Vichy for both a holiday and to study French at the CAVILAN, and the hotel was perfectly placed. The locals were so accommodating and helpful especially when they learnt I was there to try and learn their language :) I loved exploring the city and the hotel couldn't be better placed. I walked to the hotel from the railway station, its not a long walk but neither is it short, especially if your carrying a large bag, unencumbered it took 20 minutes to walk to the railway station.

I visit vichy almost every weekend. Alletiti is my fall back scenario. Rooms are outdated and Dusty. Saturday night usually attracts local partywedding partys with a lot of noise. Better ask for a room at front side on 7th floor. Breakfast sufficient but modest.

-Aircondition did not work properly. Too warm in my room every evening. Hard to sleep. They said they would look at it, but nothing happened. -No minibar! Nowhere to put cold water or keep things cold. It did say -Noisy generator of some sort(for the ineffective aircon?)outside. -Looks a bit worn down. Needs paint here and there. -Breakfast quality for 15eu was below what you expect for 4star hotel -Price does not match hotel

I think that this hotel was nice when it was originally build, that's about 50 years ago. The carpet was full of stains, the paint above the AC was burned and full of stains. The shower was making a lot of noise so as soon as the room next to you is showering you are bothered so awaken. Only one elevator for seven floors, Wifi not working, TV not working, and the list goes on and on... I don't know where they got the 4 stars rating from.

The only good thing about this hotel is it's location.

Pleasant terrace restaurant overlooking the pool, but evening meal was rather disappointing. We weren't tempted by the €15 breakfast.

Great location, close to centre of Vichy which is a very attractive city. It's a big hotel which exudes faded elegance - magnificent entrance hall and staircase. We upgraded to a superior room which was enormous.

The staff were fantastic! This was 'Old School' service where people remember your name! We called to say we were arriving late from Paris and they kept the restaurant open for us! Rooms are very big and comfortable. Building may seem dated but this was a Palace some years ago. If you need anything, find Jean Marc (Juan Marco), he would be in my 'all time' hoteliers list!
