Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

I understand the location factors into the price, but £470 for a small room with no view at all, no shower amenities and a bulb that continued to flash was just disappointing. I asked to upgrade, although I couldn’t really afford it but was told there were no rooms, although I could see on booking.com that there were. I would love to stay here again, just wish there was more value for money.
the staff were really friendly and the location was absolutely amazing!

breakfast is very poor, not enough options and diary free products not available. staff is super rude, specially the old men on the reception. Expensive for what it is.

Great location, and the staff was just amazing. Letícia gave us the best tips and directions to enjoy the most of the city. Besides that, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. I would recommend for sure.

the staff were so friendly and helpful. Sow gave us a warm welcome and had been very informative til we checked out. the location is perfect, walking distance to Eiffel tower, mixed restaurants, metro, groceries. there was a bit of a problem with our AC in the room but they were able to provide us with fans so we will be more comfortable. buffet breakfast was also worthit, you dont need to book in advanace, you can just eat on the day you choose and they will just charge it upon checkout. they were also able to provide us transportation to airport upon check out (with a fee). i will definitely come back and recommend this place to family and friends.

The washrooms were kinda tight. I’m 6’1” and it was a little tight for the toilet. But don’t let you not come to this hotel. It was totally worth it.
Favourite was as follows: 1) Customer service: Our flights was cancelled last minute. Everything was booked and he gave us the room for another night, dirt cheap. really nice customer service. would not stay anywhere else in Paris. 2) The location: Really close to the Eiffel. Right next to a small market and McDonald’s. Right infront of a train station (didn’t disturb us at all, no noise, no funny business) 3) The hotel itself: Really pretty, clean, decent breakfast.

We were asked to leave our key at the desk when we left the hotel for the day which I initially didn’t mind too much but after we spend about 15 minutes one night after an exhausting day simply waiting for someone to attend the reception desk to allow us to get our key to access our room I was quiet frustrated. The night after we were locked out of the hotel entirely for about 10 minutes standing in the very cold winter as there once again was so body at the reception and the doors into the hotel lobby had been locked. I tried to call the hotel number and had nobody pick up several times and then buzzed the door several times over 5 minutes before anyone appeared to let us in.
Property is in a good location, the rooms are clean and somewhat comfortable. The view of the Eiffel Tower was really amazing and definitely a nice add on.
