To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

IsraelThey take a lot of money, but do not gave a lot of service. No fridge in the room, no tea and coffee facilities in the room. There are tea and coffee in the lobby, but if you want your coffee with milk you need to pay supplementary 2 Euro for your milk. It's not fair if you pay more then 200 Euro per night! When I asked the guy on the reception how to get to the ZOO he said that I must use my smartphone and look myself. Then he said that in Paris there is NO ZOO, and only then helped me to call a taxi.
Very clean, they have perfect cleaning staff. Supermarket in 5 min walk. To get to the airport 10 min walk+train 50 min with 1 change. City center 15-20 min walk. ZOO 40 min walk or 10 min by taxi.

AustraliaThe only small issue I had were the thin walls. I could hear noises the hallway, and the room next door. I'm sure my snoring might have kept them awake too.
Clean, and was a good base to walk around paris and see the sights. The front desk spoke English, which was a relief for me as this trip was planned on short notice and I didn't have time to learn much French. There were nice restaurants close by, who all had staff that spoke english.

Very clean room, comfortable bed, cleaning the room and clean towels every day! Nice bathroom! The staff was veeeery freandly! The boys at the reception were very kind and they give us many hot spots of the near area(cafes, bars and restaurants). 24hours reception! They keep our luggages after ckeck out until leaving.

The location is ideal for transport: Metro, train and Batobus (just over the river). The staff were very helpful. The hotel was clean and our room was cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. air conditioning and a lift were important with temperatures of 30 degrees.
