It was cold in the room on the 1 of november. The two children (2 and 5 years old) were obliged to pay city tax , but in other hotels of France only adults are obliged to pay city tax. The same with breakfast, the children had to pay like adults.

The location, a lot of places to eat nearby

The pillows and beds could be a bit more comfortable, but not a huge issue. No parking at the facility, but management was happy to instruct us to a free parking lot near by.

Loved the breakfast, the wonderful staff that went above and beyond to help us find free parking, ways to get to st Tropez, and what to do for the weekend. We also liked the modern decor in the bathrooms and the lovely patio in the breakfast area. Best of all is the location- heart of st Maxime and on the beach

Great location, the room was good value as we decided to book one without a balcony ensuring we didn't spend to long indoors. Hotel very helpful when my partner was unwell and showed us to the local doctors. Highly recommend!

The carpet was a little odd, like astroturf. Little bit noisy on the street side.

The staff were excellent, very helpful and always accommodating even though there was a language barrier, we just managed to get through it. Very Secure little gem.

Breakfast was outstanding and everyone was so friendly and helpful

For hygiene reasons, no eating in rooms but expensive eating out all the time. The restriction was understandable but wondered whether could use garden although realise people could easily abuse this.

Property nr sea front, shops, tourist office, public transport. Receptionists and all staff very helpful welcoming courteous. Very clean and serviced well on daily basis. Good shower. Effective air conditioning easy to operate.

Friendly small hotel right in the center of Ste Maxime. The staff was very friendly. The bathroom recently renovated. The price was a real bargain.

If I had to grumble about one thing, the sound proofing is not brilliant but that's because the rooms are fairly small/ bijou and close to a narrow corridor. It's really not a big problem and the rest far outweighs this element.

I booked this hotel on the strength of previous reviews which said to ignore the fact that this is a 2 star - so glad I did! I will never again judge a hotel by its stars. Chardon Bleu doesn't have a restaurant or tea and coffee making facilities but it comes with some nice touches and has everything you could possibly need for a great stay. Our room had a small terrace with two chairs and a side view of the sea which was very close by. The beach is sandy and large (if slightly gritty) but look out for pricey beds and restaurant. The staff were particularly welcoming and helped us with our luggage to our room. The breakfast was served outdoors in a lovely quiet setting with lemon trees and a clementine tree, and consisted of a plentiful choice of pastries and yoghurt plus meats and cheeses. The town is full of restaurants and there is lots of choice for anyone staying for a week or more.

The receptionist on our arrival could not have been more helpful. The hotel is perfect for a short 3 night stay - when you are going to be out of the hotel most of the day. The rooms are nicely decorated and if you want more space you can go for the superior as opposed to the classic room as there is a little difference in size of room and bathroom. The classic room was however adequate for us. The hotel is very centrally located and close to all amenities in the town including cafes, restaurants, boat to St Tropez and other resorts, free parking areas etc.
