Breakfast not as good as last 2 visits, pastries not as fresh, bread hard, coffee and juice not as good as before, no buffet, understand as was quiet but the cost was the same as when full selection available.

Menu only being in French and being given an app that would translate, as we are OAP's we are not up with this modern technology and an English menu would have been appreciated. My husband spoke to the receptionist and he said that it was something new they were trialing and that they used to have English menu's, so we did leave our input!

There was a great choice for breakfast, plus home made cakes too. The lady who was looking after the breakfast room was lovely and very helpful even though our French was limited🙂 The guys covering reception were also very charming and helpful. To be honest they all went out of their way to be helpful which we truly appreciated.

The property was very attractive,the furnishings in the rooms and lounge area was very tired, in need of updating. The lighting was poor in our room and the lounge area. The safe did not work and was removable. There was a lack of suitable plug sockets,and no tea facilities in the room only coffee,and only paper cups,which were not replaced after use. The staff were all very helpful, the breakfast selection was adequate,but there was a lack of breakfast tea,not everyone drinks coffee,there was no decaffeinated coffee as far as I was aware. The evening meals were good,but the wine was pretty expensive. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The location of the hotel was peaceful and quiet,there was a relatively short walk to the nearest bus stop.

It was like a ghost town, restaurant was closed (we knew this) but there were very few guests. Staff manned reception and breakfast but it was a basic service. Breakfast is very overpriced for what you get. The room was dusty, including dead flies and cobwebs on the bathroom windowsill. I pointed it out and the staff just thanked me but left it! No aircon but they did provide a fan. There was also a wedding at the adjacent venue and we hardly slept that night. We stayed during the Olympics and I would say it was overpriced by about 300%.

At first glance, it looked nice and welcoming and staff spoke English. The area is quiet. The bus route runs close by and stops at the station. Nice woods and area to walk in.
