Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomWe, all 6 of us, were absolutely delighted with our stay. The hostess Stephanie was so kind and thoughtful, the typical French breakfast with delicious croissants and bread was excellent, as was the dinner on the previous evening. This is an excellent Logis hotel with a first class restaurant and I give it A* in every respect.

Lovely hotel we stopped off at during our long drive home from SW France. Very quiet, in the forest (we heard owls), comfortable room with bath and shower, restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Plentiful buffet breakfast.

United KingdomNothing.
We returned again this year to this excellent hotel with its outstanding regional meals and wines, friendly and caring service and clean quiet bedrooms located in the heart of the rolling hills and wooded slopes of the Perche National Park (memorable walks and cycle rides). Firmly recommended for quality, value and service. For disabled persons there are several ground floor bedrooms as is the dining room. The evening meals were consistently excellent.

United KingdomTV was a little on the small side and Wifi wasn't usable. To be fair the description on the booking page did say it was only available in some areas. Not a massive problem if you have enough data on your mobile phone.
The breakfast selection was good. The room itself was quite nice though I don't know what made it a 'superior' room. Bed was comfortable.

United KingdomThe main road so you need car or multiply geared bike transport to reach Nogent le Rotrou called the "capital" of Perche with its distinctive chateau and fortified tower buildings and travel around the the Perche Regional Natural Park with its bocage valleys, steep wooded slopes and hills. Essentially the main roads are lorry routes which can be avoided by choosing narrow back lanes travelling through shaded glades of beech woods or bocage pastureland with beautiful old stone hamlets and villages to visit.
Located back off a main D-Road (lorry route) between Brou and Nogent le Rotrou in the Perche Regional Parc known for its undulating hills, beautiful woodlands and stunning views. The sleeping accommodation is in a new development back from the old house and auberge so the bedrooms are quiet and have modern facilities whilst the restaurant keeps its historic wood beams. Meals are excellent and good value as is the wine (the carafes are particularly good selections). Overall an excellent hotel experience made all the better by friendly well organised staff (they had carefully booked a ground floor room for us because I have mobility issues at 73).

United KingdomThe shower is above the bath which can make it difficult to step in/out.
Very friendly helpful staff. Convenient roadside hotel with parkjng at rear. Excellent restaurant with additional tea/coffee facilities in the room. Whilst not particularly large our 'superior' room was very clean with a good size ensuite.

United KingdomThe breakfast was OK, only not very imaginative (unlike the dinner) and there was a lack of cutlery in the breakfast room (probably a one off). Coffee quality could have been better.
Although I arrived late, I had a lovely welcome, and was offered a meal (even though the kitchen should have closed). This was so thoughtful and the meal was excellent - home cooked and delicious. In the countryside, so you hear the owls at night, though there is also some road noise. Really great value for money.
