Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesI wish there was a very clear no smoking section where you didn’t get smoke wafting into your face outside. But I think that’s kind of an issue in France in general. It seems that if you don’t want smoking, you just have to sit indoors. Also would appreciate more vegan and gluten-free options in the restaurant as well as in the bar café. I ended up having to eat at other places because there wasn’t a lot of variety.
I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. It was beautiful and spacious. The people who worked there were kind and helpful. Centrally located and has parking spaces in front to drop off luggage before you park your car (so you do not have to drag them through the cobblestone roads). Overall, just the best experience I will be back.

United KingdomHassle of parking avoided if you park along the roadside below the village
Fantastic location in centre if Rocamadour with lovely restuarant and views. Very good room. Free parking is available in the valley below the town and 10 min walk up to the hotel. If you arrive later in the day you can park to drop off luggage for 10 nins directly outside the hotel but avoid if main street busy. Easier to walk up. Breakfast excellent. Staying overnight lets you enjoy the lighting and specular views early morning. We even saw hit air balloons.

FranceThe cleaning of the rooms was not quite perfect: there were hairs on the drinks tray & in the bath, & in the 2nd bedroom also hairs in the bathroom. The fridge also had spillage on the shelves. Nothing awful, just a little disappointing. Also on the drinks tray, milk & sweetener were promised but not apparent?
What a location! Stunning views across the valley from both of our rooms. The welcome we received was warm & all the information was helpful. We had cold foodstuffs with us, & it was no problem for these to be stored in the kitchen fridge/freezer for us - thank you. There are two parts to the hotel - the main building & then a separate part housing bedrooms & the bistro/bar/restaurant, which is where we were. A very tiny lift to take our baggage up! Gorgeous comfy beds; quiet rooms; but the view!! WOW! We chose not to eat in the hotel's restaurant, but the menu looked good.

AustraliaThe quality of the breakfast was not up to standard. It is OK but not to the standard of a typical full buffet breakfast.
The restaurant associated with the hotel (right out front) was amazing. Quite possibly the best accomodation at Rocamadour! And quite inexpensive for the large rooms as well.

United KingdomAt Eur18 the breakfast is rather overpriced.
Beautiful hotel. Everything pristine. The prestige room we booked had a real “wow” factor. And whisper-quiet, effective aircon, which was fantastic in 35 degree heat. The hotel staff were friendly and welcoming, going out of the way to help us lock our bikes securely in the hotel garage.

United StatesThe only little annoyance was a lot of small flies in the restaurant during breakfast (not a problem if temperature allows for breakfast on the patio), maybe something could be looked into to attract them some place else?
Location can't be beat, right in the middle of the village and with gorgeous views of both village and valley. Very relaxing place, terrace is beautiful. Restaurant is absolutely exquisite. Staff is great. Fabulous stay, thank you!

United KingdomThe restaurant doesn’t have much for vegetarians, but that’s more of a pattern for the general area in France than this hotel/restaurant specifically.
