Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandThis was the perfect place to stay whilst on our ski trip to Val D'isere. The staff were so lovely and the rooms were tidied each day. Breakfast was perfect before a days skiing. We were able to walk 2 mins to get to the main chairlift and walk out for dinner each night. Overall, great experience!

United KingdomThere is no lift and if you are on an upper floor after a hard days skiing …… it can be a slog … if you are an old chap like me
Hotel Bellier is one of the original hotels in this resort. It there fore enjoys an old world charm. The rooms may be considered a little small by todays standards but are perfectly adequate

NetherlandsThere is no forced air ventilation in this hotel — not even in the bathroom. To get fresh air I needed to open the balcony door. But this sometimes (depending on hour of the day and wind direction) allowed smoke into the room from a neighboring property's wood fire.
Well located for alpine skiers. Comfortable room. Pleasing decor. Good beds, pillows and linens. Good little bathroom and shower. Very good breakfast in dining room with views of the mountains. Nice lounge space. Convenient ski room.

SwitzerlandIn the whole single room there was only one power outlet and makes it complicated if you didn’t bring along a multi-socket cable.

HungaryThe shower is not a separate room, it's in the corner of the room, separated by only a curtain.
The hotel close to the main street, 2-3min walking. In the summer, with motorcycle, the parking was fine. The breakfast was great.

United Kingdomno lift. OK as we fit enough to walk though!
both rooms had a lovely view over the river and to the mountains. The rooms were comfortable...having a bath while looking at the mountain view was fun. There was a nice garden/terrace, the breakfast was varied and excellent and the staff helpful...booked a taxi for us and suggested nice places to eat. It was in a quiet location away from the main street.

Room was fine - not massive but everything we needed. Great view and the location to the main ski lifts couldn't be better - very short walk

The hotel was family run & very friendly & helpful. The room was cosy & clean & comfortable. The hotel location was exceptional being so close to the lifts, town centre & restaurants, Nice breakfast that set us up for the day. A bar & drinks in the evening & a welcome drink on New Year`s Eve was a lovely touch. Really nice sauna which was great after a full days skiing. Would happily return another year.

United KingdomCouldn't find all the light switches in the living room area in the evening and no one was around to help.
It doesn't look great from the outside but don't be fooled - it's lovely inside. Our room was the best we had all trip, spacious, windows on 2 sides and a balcony with views to die for. The breakfast was very good and the sitting areas spacious, attractive and full of interesting things. It was one of the more expensive hotels on our trip but worth every penny. The cycle parking was secure and easy to access.
