The room was not what I expect from a four stars hotel. Weird smell, lots of scratches on the wall, missing lamps, random decoration, tiny bedroom where you barely can move. There are stairs to take the elevator, which was inconvenient traveling with a baby.

Wallpaper peeled off, cheap furniture, old carpet, bad smell in the room, dark hallways, broken lamps, the bedroom had no space for a baby crib, constant hiss from the pipes in the bathroom. Nowhere close to a 4 star hotel.

Fairly expensive for an old hotel in a small non-tourist town. Asked for a late check-out on the Sunday (14h00 instead of 12h00) as I was doing a marathon the morning, but was told 13h30 is the latest, so had to wash up in basin at the sports field while my wife sat waiting in the lobby with our suitcases - not nice. Lighting in the room is really dim.

The room was nice and clean. Wifi was good.

Having an underground car park is a big plus with a lift directly to reception but it is not immediately obvious how to get to the car park because of the one way system . Not a Big problem but worth working out the route in advance rather than trying to find your way around the narrow back streets.

The location is excellent and the staff very friendly.

Our to tv did not work properly, the big down fall being no air con. It was 38 degrees in the day and still 31 degrees at 11pm, the Windows were open but warm air and noise wasn't helpful. We didn't sleep well at all, me being pregnant and my 7 year old son also knackered put a dampener on our stay.

The overall impression is rather tired-looking 1990s. The bathroom was big, but the shower was very small + a bit of damp smelling; several little details (water boiler for tea and coffeee, but only one cup for a double room? No hook for towels close to the shower? bathroom door partially blocked by the bed?) Didn't try the breakfast for 12 Euro/person

The TV was not visible from the bed, the need to put your door key into the electrical slot to have power was annoying when only one of us wanted to go out, and, the noise of moving trash cans all night in the courtyard was loud. The breakfast was expensive for what was available, we had to ask for coffee repeatedly as well as cream. The Wii Fii came in and out, not reliable.

Location, ease of getting around town. We managed to get a parking spot right in front of the hotel, very lucky, that only cost 2 Euro. Good, spacious room, clean. The staff was helpful and friendly.
