Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomMy only complaints are that jacuzzi was very very cold 2nd day we used it - temperature had been turned down and when you are paying E20 you expect all spa facilities to be good. Also, would have liked my tea / coffee / water stocked up daily.
Hotel was perfect. Very comfortable, staff were amazing and room was superb. All in all, very happy.

Ireland20€ per person for a 1 hour jacuzzi and sauna use is very steep, especially for a resident of the hotel. Most hotels offer this for free which should be expected when paying over €1,000 for a standard room with no view and no breakfast.
Staff was lovely and location was good. I had cocktails in the bar and they were great and fresh.

United KingdomIf you come for skiing - nearest bus stop is about 800m away. And that was far for me to walk with ski boots. They did not have basic things in the room- wine glasses, wine opener, spoons for hot drinks. I think these are essential. Breakfast - very poor choice! Not a single vegetable. No any kind of porridge. The only warm thing they had was some scrambled eggs and pancakes which were quite cold too. We booked hotel because they had spa. Only later we found out that it was at extra charge. Which is ok, but it would have been nicer to know prior the booking. Poor signs to find ski lockers, way out and even way back in to the hotel with ski equipment. It should not be so hard to put some sings I guess.
Good value for money compared with the quality and location. Comfy beds, the fact that the bathrobes and slippers were provided. Extremely helpful and nice staff - reception, restaurant. Everyone were really very caring.

United KingdomThe Spa area costs extra to use it - the sauna and jacuzzi are quite small so if there are more than 2 people it is already quite crowded. The breakfast is tasty however is a bit plain and could use more variety for the price.
The hotel is located 6 minutes walking distance from the train station (train runs every hour), and from the bus station (Les Tines bus stop, buses run every 10-15 minutes during the day) - getting to Flegere ski lift or Chamonix Mont Blanc is quite easy (2 bus stops to Flegere - 3-4 min). The hotel gives you host passes for the public transportation (with host card trains are free, buses are no longer free but you can buy the 2 day pass for EUR 4 with the host card). The train also takes you to Les Houches and other ski areas - it is very convenient if you time its arrival well. Rooms are comfortable, warm and clean, staff is friendly.

AustraliaThe fridge was not really cold it did not get or keep our drinks cold and we couldn’t really buy food to keep in there because it felt like it wasn’t really working. The property was a little bit far away from the city centre but luckily there was a bus stop about 4 mins walking distance and it came every 30mins into the city centre. The restaurant was a little pricey so we only ate there once. We couldn’t swap the tv over to English which was really annoying for us.
We loved this little town so enchanting and interesting although a little expensive against our Australian dollar. The hotel itself felt so homely. The beds and pillows were lovely and soft. The free pool, sauna and hot tub were such a treat for us and we loved that. The landscape is what dreams are made of. The reception was very helpful and arranged a taxi for us on the day we were leaving, and gave us a bus timetable. The hotel itself seemed very quiet whilst we stayed there. The passages all have lighting by sensor so they would only turn on if someone was walking down them which I thought was clever. Our room was serviced everyday to a good standard. Handy key card entry to your room. Reception open 24hrs a day. There were lifts and it is wheel chair accessible. This property is definitely international standard.

United StatesI wish the hotel had some less expensive lunch and dinner options. Without these, we were forced to go into Chamonix … where the options are OK.
This is a well-kept hotel just outside Chamonix. The staff was excellent as was the room itself.

MaltaOur room was a loft so my husband had to be very cautious to move out from bed not to hit his head. When checking-in, we were not given any details on our stay including the fact that we had a free pass to travel with the train to the centre or to the mountains.
