There was nothing that really comes to mind. I do not want to be unnecessarily critical.

The staff were very helpful especially with information about the various eating places and with a map to guide you. Parking was fine and the WiFi worked well. The location of the hotel is great with just a couple of minutes walk into the town centre.

    Only the breakfast coffee!

Croisantes were fine. Surprisingly the coffee was grim...rather similar to that old Kenco filter stuff you find in many UK hotels! Very helpful proprietor. Excellent location.

Lack of air conditioning could be an issue in high summer.

Hotel is well located, only a short walk from the heart of town and the beautiful chateau of Azay Le Rideau. It has a small sealed parking area in front of the hotel and a larger (unsealed) carpark to the rear of the hotel. Overall adequate parks for the number of rooms. Rooms are of adequate size and amenities good and clean. No air conditioning meant need to open window to keep fresh, cool air flow. No road noise as the room faced the rear of the hotel. Owner speaks excellent English and was very helpful in terms of advice on eating places etc.

Actually nothing. Maybe this : an omelet in the morning wouldn't be that difficult for the kitchen.

Very charming hotel. Warm reception by the owner. Nice clean rooms, with a lot of "spirit". A step away from restaurants, castle, river,... Simple but good breakfast, with the houselady who takes care of the guests. Big room because we had a dog with us. Easy to enter hotel with code. Very handy is the free parking behind the hotel (closed at night).

    Nothing to dislike

Excellent hotel in the center of Azay-Le-Rideau. Very clean and comfortable, and our room at the front of the hotel had two lovely little balconies. The manager was so welcoming and helpful - he always went out of his way to assist us in any way he could. Safe and secure bicycle storage. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and wish to thank the manager once again for all his assistance in making our stay so enjoyable.

Hotel has no elevator (did not see) and we had to carry our stuff up to third floor! Note, for light sleepers: the Hotel is situated along busy road and at night and in the early morning loud cars kept us awake if windows were open.

Practical Hotel, typical no frills concept. Ideal for a short stay to visit the nice castles and surroundings. At walking distance from very nice authentic center with lots of good restaurants! Staff is friendly but keeps a certain distance, maybe because of our poor French speaking. Parking at the back is ideal and at reasonable costs.

Receptionist a tad cryptic. We had to request wifi access and at best it was patchy. Room perfect for a single but tight for a double. Also had to request a "courtesy tray" (tea, cups, electric jug etc) for room.
