We stayed 4 nights. The host Christine is a fabulous lady. Our flight was delayed but she waited for us on the first day until 22.30 to check us in. She helped us in everything we needed and gave us a lot of tips about what, where and when to visit. The location is great both to drive to all directions and to reach the old city of Sarlat. The room was wonderful and very quiet. The breakfast was wonderful. We warmly recommend the hotel for all.

The property was wonderful for seven days to see the Dordogne. Our hostess Christine was fantastic in every way. We will miss her. She did everything for us and made our stay exceptional. Cannot recommend more highly.

If you wish to make a vacation or travel in Perigord Noir, very hot recommendation to book Bon Encontre! We felt like we were in the family! Also, very good rooms for reasonable price, very clean, well equipped. The house owner made our vacation very smooth and warm. Also, if you already had travelling plans in the are, suggest to review them with her as you may get the better and more exciting proposals. Not saying that facility is just 3 minutes away from Sarlat where you can walk in day time or have a dinner in the evening.

The hotel is in a quiet area which is lovely, but up a hill which is no problem if you have a car.

The large pool is beautiful, ideal for swimming, lovely views, lots of comfortable sun loungers. Also the breakfast is excellent, home made cakes, freshly cut fruit, a plate of local cheeses cold meat, and much more. Large car park. Very quiet. Also the owner was very helpful, she helped us decide what to visit, which restaurant to go to. A very warm welcome. Much appreciated.

Everything was terrific.

Big room, very clean and quiet. Good parking. The host was very kind and welcoming and shared recommended attractions in surrounding area as well as Sarlat. Wonder breakfast!

Location was a stretch to walk in to Sarlat town with steep hill, but plenty of parking in Sarlat.

Fabulous hotel with a beautiful pool. The proprietor could not have been more helpful. Excellent breakfast with local produce & homemade cake. Steep 10 min walk down to town and a slightly longer walk back up!

Distance from the old town. After 8 the reception was closed. Could not get swimming towels one night. Needed a place for towels outside of reception.

The only slight drawback was that you had to go into town to eat - and so that might have been a bot of an issue if it had been wet weather (which it wasn't fortunatley)

The hotel is very pretty with good facilities and location to Sarlat, close enough to walk there and far out enough to feel calm. The owner is super friendly and can’t do enough for you, and the breakfast we had one morning was very yummy.

The English speaking owner Christine was so nice and helpful. She organised a longer stay for us at short notice. She provides an excellent continental breakfast including her own baked cakes. The hotel is so clean and spacious overlooking the town. It's a safe 10 min walk to the centre. The pool is very inviting and there is ample parking.

Amazing hostess and friendly staff. Lovely comfortable room (Queen size bed, large bathroom with bath & shower, plenty of storage & minibar). Great pool and terrace. Fabulous breakfast, local and homemade produce. Great location within walking distance of Sarlat centre. Many places of interest to visit within a short drive. Nothing was too much trouble for Christine, who was always available and very helpful. We would definately stay here again if returning to the area. Thank you Christine for making our stay so lovely.
