Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOur room was deliberately cheap so we had no issues at all with its size. Our issue was that it started to get damp…. Even after one night sleep. It’s a shame but we managed to regulate it with keeping the window open but it felt a bit damp.
The location was perfect for the Sacre Coeur. The staff honestly made all the difference could not have been politer and more willing to help.

CanadaThe noise from the street! Even though I was on the 5th floor, because I had taken the upgrade to the room with the balcony, we could hear all the voices from the street below because the large window/door did not shut hermetically. And because this is Paris, there is people on the street at all hours of the night.
Was exactly as pictured. Very clean room and bathroom. Even though I did not take the option of breakfast at hotel, complimentary hot beverages were always available during the day. The staff were very helpful, and even managed to take care when I had issues with the safe in the room. Close to metro line, restaurants, bakeries and small grocery stores.

SpainThe street and some of the surroundings near the underground " Chateau Rouge" seemed a bit insecure. But if you keep on the same street as the hotel it' s fine.
Breakfast was very good value for money. Quality - price is very reasonable for Paris. Staff were very friendly and profesional

We had a super early check out so we asked in advance if we could get a small take away breakfast in the morning. The day tine staff was super friendly and collaborative while the night staff was super grumpy and denied support. We did get some fruits in the end though.
The breakfast was excellent!!

CanadaI felt the Hotel in general is "over Sold" on Booking. Rated a 3 Star, but not really living up in terms of the actual condition of the hotel. The building itself and interior is somewhat shabby, the lift is more of a dumbwaiter than a lift (but works well to take your luggage up to your floor!), so you are better off navigating the narrow winding (somewhat spongy) staircase, and the bed was very hard and unforgiving. And according to my booking, there was supposed to be an inner courtyard view, but the "Courtyard" was actually the back doors of the building to the garbage cans, with a motion activated floodlight that shone right in my window! Overall, given the size of my room (when they say Tiny, they Mean it!! 9.8ft x9.8ft including the bathroom), I don't feel it was necessarily worth the $150CDN/night I paid, but the service kind of makes up for the physical shortfalls.
That staff were excellent. Very friendly and attentive, went our of their way to make you feel welcome. And the room and hotel in general were very clean and quiet, despite the neighbourhood being active and noisy, with a pub right next door. I also loved and appreciated the convenient location - close to lots of food options, a laundromat right across the road (though somewhat pricy (4.50 Euro/3kg load to wash, same for dry), a short walk to Moulin Rouge, the Funicular and the Metro station.

IrelandSmall and feels cramped in the rooms and dining room. Ground floor room has plumbing pipe work coming down enclosures, so a bit noisy with showers and flushing from upper floors. Perhaps the weekend I stayed, but was really expensive for what it is.
Good location, close to bars and restaurants, and metro. Very friendly staff. Pretty clean overall.
