Ants - but they have to live somewhere. Not modern as shown in photos

Lovely and kind staff day and night. Spoke English and helped me with my French. Cosy old chic french furnishings and feel. Very very very clean hotel and lovely cleaners.

Our room was deliberately cheap so we had no issues at all with its size. Our issue was that it started to get damp…. Even after one night sleep. It’s a shame but we managed to regulate it with keeping the window open but it felt a bit damp.

The location was perfect for the Sacre Coeur. The staff honestly made all the difference could not have been politer and more willing to help.

The noise from the street! Even though I was on the 5th floor, because I had taken the upgrade to the room with the balcony, we could hear all the voices from the street below because the large window/door did not shut hermetically. And because this is Paris, there is people on the street at all hours of the night.

Was exactly as pictured. Very clean room and bathroom. Even though I did not take the option of breakfast at hotel, complimentary hot beverages were always available during the day. The staff were very helpful, and even managed to take care when I had issues with the safe in the room. Close to metro line, restaurants, bakeries and small grocery stores.

Hot and cold water was a big problem. The bed was not very comfortable.

Great location and wonderful staff. Enjoyed the quaintness of the hotel and entered with realistic expectations. Very clean and wonderful service. I would recommend the hotel.

The street and some of the surroundings near the underground " Chateau Rouge" seemed a bit insecure. But if you keep on the same street as the hotel it' s fine.

Breakfast was very good value for money. Quality - price is very reasonable for Paris. Staff were very friendly and profesional

We had a super early check out so we asked in advance if we could get a small take away breakfast in the morning. The day tine staff was super friendly and collaborative while the night staff was super grumpy and denied support. We did get some fruits in the end though.

    The breakfast was excellent!!

All day tea and coffee available downstairs great for weary sightseers Able to leave luggage for a few hours after checkout so we could go sightseeing without 6 bags very helpful staff with good recommendations for eating locally

I felt the Hotel in general is "over Sold" on Booking. Rated a 3 Star, but not really living up in terms of the actual condition of the hotel. The building itself and interior is somewhat shabby, the lift is more of a dumbwaiter than a lift (but works well to take your luggage up to your floor!), so you are better off navigating the narrow winding (somewhat spongy) staircase, and the bed was very hard and unforgiving. And according to my booking, there was supposed to be an inner courtyard view, but the "Courtyard" was actually the back doors of the building to the garbage cans, with a motion activated floodlight that shone right in my window! Overall, given the size of my room (when they say Tiny, they Mean it!! 9.8ft x9.8ft including the bathroom), I don't feel it was necessarily worth the $150CDN/night I paid, but the service kind of makes up for the physical shortfalls.

That staff were excellent. Very friendly and attentive, went our of their way to make you feel welcome. And the room and hotel in general were very clean and quiet, despite the neighbourhood being active and noisy, with a pub right next door. I also loved and appreciated the convenient location - close to lots of food options, a laundromat right across the road (though somewhat pricy (4.50 Euro/3kg load to wash, same for dry), a short walk to Moulin Rouge, the Funicular and the Metro station.

The hotel rooms are a little older than what appears in the pic and they are small (as expected for Paris though).

Small and feels cramped in the rooms and dining room. Ground floor room has plumbing pipe work coming down enclosures, so a bit noisy with showers and flushing from upper floors. Perhaps the weekend I stayed, but was really expensive for what it is.

Good location, close to bars and restaurants, and metro. Very friendly staff. Pretty clean overall.
