Because of the building undergoing outside renovations, I had booked an upgraded room but we ended up with a window off the kitchen atrium. It was noisy at night

Car parking is not available on site, but I think this is the case for all hotels in the Intra-Muros district. We got lucky and found a metered street park. This was a little costly but worked OK for us. If you didn't get lucky with street parking you could have a long-ish walk with your luggage. There is no lift in the hotel but I guess this is par for the course with an old building on a narrow site.

An immaculately clean hotel with tasteful modern renovations. It is in a brilliant location in the heart of the Intra-Muros district of Saint Malo, and close to the sea. The classy Intra-Muros district has lots of quaint cobbled streets, sophisticated shops and eateries. The hotel staff were polite and helpful. The brasserie food was very good.

It did not have air conditioning, we had to open the window and the small of the food fried at the restaurant was uncomfortable and got inside the room. Late when restaurant was probably closed, we could hear the voices of the people talking at the end of their shift

Stairs and the space was a little tight for people our age and girth.

It was in the Intramuro area of Saint Malo, convenient for sightseeing, shopping and the beach. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had very good service, were able to leave our bags, and have a taxi arranged for us.

No air conditioning, very noisy atmosphere till very late night every night , no shower gel and shampoo in the room only small soap and lotion. No iron in the room

Wi-Fi didn’t want to work properly consistently - weak signal. I think we should have been told about there being scaffolding and if booked in week when working I wouldn’t have liked it. I felt awkward checking in at restaurant and the check out too - city tax should just be included in amount.

Scaffolding on the outside and locked doors gave the impression that the hotel was closed, but using the phone number posted on the door (which meant our having to incur roaming charges on our phone), we got the keyless entry code and were directed to our room. The wi-fi was weak and signal kept dropping in the evening. Not a problem for us, but other guests may be uncomfortable with the sliding bathroom door that does not fully cover the doorway opening.

The room was comfortable, clean and spacious with a tea service and excellent shower. They offer a good breakfast in a bright room separate from the main restaurant and our dinner at the restaurant was excellent. There is easy access to the beach and city walls and it is convenient for catching the ferry or bus.

The fact that the hotel was undergoing renovation work was not mentioned in its profile, which did take away some of the charm of the visit. There was no working elevator and a bit of a smell from the bathroom when we first entered the room, but this was solved by leaving the window open for a couple of hours.

The location of the hotel is excellent, right next to the city walls overlooking the beach and on one of the main squares in the old town. It is also a couple of streets off the main tourist thoroughfares.

We had 2 rooms. One had a bad odor. Also pretty confusing figuring out getting into the hotel as it is primarily a restaurant.

The beakfast was disappointing poor selection and poor coffee. It would benefit the hotel to have a lounge area.

The bathroom had a persistent drain smell which wasn't very pleasant but we kept the door shut so it didn't impact the room too much.

Great location and the rooms have been renovated really well. Didn't use the lift but there was one there if needed. Beautiful view from room 14 across the square fo The Grande Be hotel. A very good shower too!

Everything was nice. The location is very near to everything. The room was comfort and clean, but a little bit small. And the bathroom door did not close properly and this was a little uncomfortable.

Restaurant was closed for 2 week days. In general quiet but one night people at the bar next door were blathering until sunrise. We missed something from our luggage but the hotel management did not make much effort to resolve this issue.

Basically a restaurant cum hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Good location next to the city wall. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the old town and beaches of Saint Malo.
