Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Bathroom sink had no plug. Wifi would not let me log in.
Most facilities were extremely good.Staff were excellent. Plenty of parking available. Restaurant menu was really good.

the room was very small, but it was clean and reasonably confortable. It's a budget hotel, so you get what you pay for!
Cheap and cheerful! The hotel is basically on an industrial estate, but was close to our "through route". The room was very compact, but clean and adequate for a single night. Receptionist was very helpful, and breakfast was surprsingly good

The pillows are very uncomfortable but for one night it was fine.
Clean, convenient, a good overnight pit stop before the mountain. the accommodation was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was not included in the price but was very inexpensive with plenty of choice. The manager is very friendly.

The location is a bit off the trail but overall nice.

Food was not available on the day we arrived but the host helped us to find a place to eat locally.
A great stop over place while travelling to Italy. Continental breakfast was limited but good enough for the price.

Value for money in this hotel is absolute amazing. For 32 eur per person and night a small, but clean room, small window, but can be opened wide, calm in the night, super friendly hotelier who speaks fluently German (and Schwäbisch ;-)). But the super best thing is the breakfast for 5 eur per person (!). What I expected: Mediocre coffee from a public service machine and a few biscuits. What I got: 2 small fresh butter and one choco croissant, 2 big pieces good baguette, jam, camenbert, joghurt, müsli with good milk, good cooled orange jiuce and 2 cups of good coffee. No idea how they do that, but take your chance!

This was just a stay in our way to Italy. Nothing to say more that it was a bit expensive and the gentleman dealing with us was kind and helpful

The room was really tiny, with one bed actually on top of the others. And the upper bed was really noisy, I tried to avoid moving too much during the night not to wake somebody up.

Very small and a bit dingy. Bathroom tiny. No kettle.

Good place to stay if you have a tight budget, parking is free, breakfast was included in the price and driving to Chambéry or Lac du Bourget takes only 10 or 15min., so it's very convenient. Also, the guy at the desk was very nice ans easy going, so we had a very nice stay there

Cleanliness. Also the shower was awful
Great reception staff and good breakfast but the room smelt awful, I think someone had been smoking in there. Also the walls were really thin and could hear everything in the room next door - it was fine as it was my family but if it was a stranger it would have been more difficult. Bed was comfy but the whole place needs doing up. Good location for onward journey to the ski slopes, nice restaurant near by called Côte d’arette or something like that. Good parking out front of the hotel

overall cleanliness was compromised. room was too small with very humid environment.
