Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. It's a little outside the main town, so the surroundings were not very pretty. We were on the first floor and there is a walkway outside. People walking outside early in the morning made the whole floor vibrate and woke us up.
Nice comfy beds suitable for the three of us (2 adults + child), within easy reach of the motorway. Bathroom perfect for us. Staff very friendly. Good value for money, and a perfect journey break in the middle of France. Parking was just outside the room, very convenient.

Convenient location, just off the N145 highway, with secure car park. Clean, spacious room with bathroom. Like most Campanile hotels, it offers fairly basic but functional motel-style accommodation, especially suitable for business travelers. Good breakfast buffet. Friendly and helpful staff.

There is no elevator to the upper floors. For some strange reason you have to press the 'Channel +' button to make the TV work. The bathroom washbasin was cracked and starting to come away from the wall.
The room was very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was very clean with everything I needed, and breakfast was excellent. It was very good value overall.

Great location just off the motorway. Ideal for a one night stop. The food was excellent, both the evening meal and breakfast. The staff were friendly and our waitress seemed to genuinely enjoy her job and provided a great service.

Building was a bit old but still functional. Rooms a bit cold. Only one bath towel each and no hand towel or other towels in the rooms
Clean and comfortable. Rooms were modern Restaurant was nice and quite a few people were they despite not staying at the hotel :)

The bar prices were too expensive.
Dinner on the night of our stay was very good. As was breakfast the next morning. We had picked the hotel in order to visit the Les Loups.

Not the fault of Campanile but we were on the second floor which meant 2 flights of stairs. We should have requested ground floor. A bit of noise from the road but that is because of its convenient location.
The staff were exceptional both on reception and the waitress in the restaurant.

bathroom was ok but got a lot of condensation after a shower which made the floor wet.
good location, nice room and great to have a restaurant on site when you’d been travelling all day. very convenient stop over close to main roads but not too noisy.

Kerb appeal but once inside nothing to complain about.
Hotel was fit for purpose. Excellent staff. Breakfast was the standard buffet. Evening buffet was okay and good value. Rooms are in a motel type block. The structure is tired but the maintenance is good. The room itself not the biggest but all was in good clean and tidy condition. Bathroom had a good 2 head shower and a hairdryer. Great location just off main road. Fuel and supplies nearby.

The location was a 25 minute walk into town The rooms were outside in a different block to the main hotel/ restaurant. Reception staff on checkout wasn't very nice food was very basic and meat was process
