Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PortugalSmall bathroom. The fire alarm was on at 6am accidentally (i dont know if it was some guest's fault).
For Paris, the room was a good size. Nice area. Nice staff. It is possible to leave your luggage.

United KingdomOur first floor room had some traffic noise but that's hard to avoid in a big city. Upper floors may be quieter.
Clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast, great location not far from restaurants and cafes on rue de la gaite.

GreeceUnfortunately, I had two bad incidents at the hotel (for which I have informed two of the receptionists) which spoiled the whole experience. I booked two double rooms in the price of 832€ that I would pay at the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel, they informed me that the tax for the stay had changed so I had to pay 915€ instead. To note here that they hadn't informed me beforehand. Also, the hotel kept an amount before my arrival as a guarantee that my card works, that they would free after my check in as they informed me and when I asked one of the receptionists, he told me that he did it at the check in. I contact my bank 5 days after and they inform me that the hotel hasn't proceeded to return the money back. I recontact the hotel and the two (very helpful) receptionists informed me that the money weren't returned after the check in but at the check out and that I should have the money this week.
comfortable bed, clean room, light, wifi, close to shops and easy transportation to most sights.

Czech RepublicThe room was quite smelly of cigarettes (even though it’s prohibited to smoke inside) - opened window did not help. The double bed is very narrow, even for 2 slim people. There was missing a brush for the toilet. The city tax for the upcoming Olympic Games is huge - 5€ night/person! (Not the problem of the hotel as such I would say, of course).
The place was just what you can expect while booking it. However, be prepared the room might not look the same as in the pictures. The hotel is very close to a train station and metro stops, all shops and boulangeries around. 1 hour perfect walk to the Eiffel Tower. It was clean, warm (with AC), good for 2-3 nights. The bathroom was really nice and the water flow perfect and hot. The staff was helpful and gave us extra blanket for free. Coffee and tea and a kettle are inside your room.

NetherlandsThe elevator was out of order, so we had to use the old elevator, which was the only one for a lot of rooms, so you had to wait for it quite some time, as we where on the 5th floor, so stairs are not an option.
The hotel is located close to metro station Gaite. From there you can visit all the touristic places in Paris. The hotel was clean, and staff was very helpfull. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. We decided to have breakfast at the hotel and this was ok. I would stay in this hotel again.

LuxembourgRoom was very small and the shower tiny: impossible to close the door once we were in without squishing along the wall. Breakfast was too expensive for small offering and we ate elsewhere. But all in all, it was to be expected in a budget hotel in Paris.
Close to restaurants, the metro and bus stops. In a quiet neighborhood. Hotel was clean and reception always open.

PolandUnfortunately, there was a fair amount of noise in the mornings due to the hotel staff and other guests. It made it challenging to get a peaceful start to the day. The elevator in the hotel was quite peculiar and seemed to have some quirks that made it less user-friendly. On one occasion, despite having a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door, a housekeeper attempted to enter our room, which was rather unexpected. The size of the room was a bit cramped, which made the overall stay less comfortable.
The hotel is conveniently situated in the heart of the city, making it easy to access various attractions and amenities. The price for the stay was very reasonable, which is always a plus. The hotel is well-maintained, and the rooms are kept tidy. The high-speed internet connection allowed me to work without any issues, which was essential for my stay.

CanadaThe rooms are very small. The air conditioners are mis sized for the room, meaning they make things far too cold if they are on, a minor inconvenience.
Location was in a very nice Neighborhood just south outside the tourist core. It was roughly 10 Euro to get a taxi to the core, or a 7 minute metro ride (The metro station is about a 10 minute walk from the hotel)
