I would have like more pillows . Different ones so we could choose I would have enjoyed some bathroom toiletries such as moisturizing cream Staff was not super nice at breakfast

Hotel parking, although advertised, is apparently very limited. Public parking is quite convenient although not as expected.

The recent history of scandals. Once we read about them we felt bad staying there. The staff could have been a bit warmer. The 4pm check-in is ridiculously late.

Quite old fashioned hotel with old bathrooms but nice rooms.

Good location in the heart of Lille & close to shops & Christmas markets. Breakfast is good but can get very busy. The View bar is very good but get there early to get a window seat as go very fast. Cocktails are good. Make sure you book hotel parking early as only have 3 spaces around corner but lots of other car parks close by.

A rather huge deposit was requested upon check-in (which was indeed noted on the reservation), but the reception staff refused to accept cash payment; finally they agreed but it was not a very nice experience.

The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of Lille, and appears classy, even with a touch of luxury. The building is probably quite old, the floors in the rooms seemed particularly old (uneven) but for me it only added to the charm of the place :) The rooms are very comfortable, everything is functional. The breakfast was a bit pricey, the quality of food was good but there wasn't too much of a choice.

The huge “security deposit”. Totally over the top and overpriced. You also need to warn people about the air raid siren test as it really frightened me. It would be good to have directions in the room on how to contact reception and what buses go where etc. and places of interest.

The location. Once we had got our bearings everything was in easy reach. The interior design was lovely and breakfast was very nice although overpriced at €20 per head. The staff were very friendly and helpful but one did forget to order our taxi (good job I checked) and we were also overcharged for something else but this was rectified very quickly. Housekeeping staff were more than helpful and worked very hard to ensure that rooms are clean and comfortable.

It’s an old hotel so lots of character but there was quite a lot of internal noise E.g. from room above, from lift, also creaky doors and floorboards.

The parking place reserved for the hotel was difficult to park even for a modarate siz car (volvo XC40)

Found the rooms were quite dark and could do with some updating. Staff at breakfast not overly friendly and very few tables for more than two people - we were three.

Location of the hotel was excellent and we like the interior decoration of the public spaces. Staff on reception and the cleaning staff were very good, helpful and friendly.
