The property feels older than on the photos. Less elegant and not like a 4 star hotel, more like a 3 star. We have stayed in the rooms for 4 people with 2 beds, one of the beds was old-style bed feeling very old and uncomfortable, the room was dark and didn`t smell fresh. Our friends stayed in twin rooms, i guess those rooms were nicer.

Location is nice - in the middle of beautiful vinyards. Pretty and stylish restaurant and a terrace.

The breakfast looked prettier on the menu than on the plates, pancakes came straight out of the freezer. But the hotel did react positively to our critic.

beautiful setting and views , the interior was a nice blend of boutique and rural style.

The 'welcome' wasn't particularly friendly. The manageress came from a back office when we arrived as there wasn't anyone at reception and couldn't hide her irritation that the phone was ringing at the same moment that we arrived! We had contacted the hotel before our stay to ask if the room for the children could be near to ours but it was on a different floor. After enjoying some truly outstanding meals in France in the previous 2 weeks we were looking forward to our last evening meal in France before returning home, but it was disappointing and very expensive for the quality. The cost of the evening meal and breakfast (with only half a bottle of wine as we had a long drive ahead of us the next day) doubled the cost of the overnight stay (€822 for 1 comfort and 1 tradition room for one night). We opted to share a selection of Tapas rather than the very expensive entrées, there were 4 choices of main course, pigeon, steak, chicken and lobster. The children had chicken that was a roasted chicken leg with some vegetables but no rice as described on the menu. My husband requested the steak was well done but it was only seared and blue and had to be sent back. When it arrived back it was thoroughly charred and burnt - not the quality expected at this price in a 4 star restaurant. The half lobster was small and tough with no implements provided for getting the meat out of the claw and there was no sign of the cooked 'a la carbonara' as described on the menu. It was drowning in a thin dark sauce which swamped the 'parmesan??' gnocchi. There seemed to be 2 large parties using the hotel while we were there perhaps this affected the quality of service provided. Breakfast was ok but we've had much better elsewhere for this price. Overall, such a shame the potential is fantastic but on our stay not realised. Poor value for money and a disappointing end to our holiday.

Hotel ideally situated to break the journey between Calais and Provence just south of Dijon in a small quiet village, but we would not use this hotel again. Building very attractive, nice pool area but when we asked to be directed to it, the manager pointed through the restaurant and told us we should return to our rooms via the car park as the 'servers were trying to work'! A bit odd as the gate and steps to the pool opens straight onto the terrace with tables and we had to negotiate through these to get out to the car park any way so didn't really understand this request as we couldn't avoid passing other guests (we were wearing the hotel robes). The Tapas menu was better value than the a la carte menu and breakfast. Tradition room very large and had a comfortable bed but air conditioning noisy.

In sum - if you love food and wine please avoid this place. There are far far better hotels and restaurants in Burgundy. Full comments below. Where to start? Compared to other 4* hotels in the vineyards around Beaune the hotel was overpriced. It may well tick all the boxes for a 4* hotel but it certainly didn't feel like one: dead wasps in the room, paint peeling, looking a little tired overall. Some of the decor was a little odd - admittedly this is a matter of taste but pictures of beetles in the dining room is a strange choice. The real issue with the hotel however was the food which was little short of disgraceful. Having spend the previous night in a similarly priced hotels and eaten in similalry priced restaurants the previous two nights we were genuinely shocked at the food! Supper: we ordered the pigeon (€33) and were surprised to receive two meagre slices of pigeon breast on a bed of risotto. The flavour was acceptable but we received the entire pigeon at a restaurant in Beaune two nights early for a similar price which was considerably tastier! The childrens meals at €15 each consisted of a juice to start, an overcooked steak hache (hamburger) and a portion of mashed potatoes. Utterly tasteless! And no vegetables in sight! Dessert was ice cream. The previous night at a local 4* hotel/restaurant the childrens meal was €15 each for which they started with snails for one and foie gras for the other, river fish for one and an exquisite steak cooked to perfection for the other, both together with vegetables etc. Beautifully presented - essentially half sized portions of the adult food. For the adults the food was acceptable but vastly overpriced for what it was compared to other venues. The wine was poor - this is ultimately a matter of taste so am loathed to leave a bad comment, but I can say that it seemed on the expensive side. At breakfast we first noted how dirty the floor and other tables were.

Nice building and decent location. The family room that we stayed in was large.
