With such an impressive estate, we'd have loved to do some horseback riding activities.

Staying in a chateau-hotel like this one has to be experienced at least once in a lifetime. This property looks very much like the chateaux you visit on the Loire Valley and the chateau estate is possibly much better than most of them, with an impressive tomato garden, caves and a very large web of alleys to walk on the estate. The hotel staff is very courteous, they arranged a reservation to dinner for us on the village nearby since we called too late for reserving dinner at the chateau.

For a 4 star hotel I would expect a box of tissues and some toothbrush/ toothpaste more than a showercap and a shoe cloth...or sewing kit....Also I would expect a tea and coffee facilities in the rooms for the price that we pay (we often find these facilities in guesthouses these days )

the size of the rooms was fabulous and the check out time also! The tomato conservatory and the Petit Prince are great added assets to complete the stay with a valuable cultural experience :-)

Our shower had some cleaning problems, and we missed a fridge, because we had hot days.

Maybe a fan in each bedroom could help when it's hot and since there's no air conditioning.

The chateau was simply wonderful - felt like royalty pulling up the long driveway. Our room was very interesting with the spiral staircase to the upper bedroom. We were able to take a walk through of the caves on the grounds which were very interesting. Breakfast was ok but I liked being able to have it right there in the beautiful setting. The restaurant is closed on Mondays but the recommended a fantastic restaurant in town where we had one of our best dinners so I can't complain!

Chateau is so beautiful and elegant. The decor and furnitures were exceptional. Room was spacious! Breakfast was really great, fresh basket of bread. We loved our time at the chateau, it was an fantastic experience!

Simply stunning château in a quiet little town. The rooms were beautifully decorated and staff were very nice. meals were simple but good. Highly recommend staying at this historic chateau.

it must be a hell of a job to maintain these kind of castles. however, you see much wear and tear around on carpets, loose door grips, broken showers etc. its a shame because with some more investment in proper maintenance the castle is worth another visit

The chateau is magnificent and beautiful. Room and bathroom are huge. Comfy bed. Very nice garden around the chateau.

What to say! It was like a travel back in time! Acres of wonderfully arranged greenery around this magnificent 17th century chateau turned into hotel makes for even more pleasant stay. The staff upgraded our room from the pavilion to the chateau for free, great thanks to them :) The chateau has a colorful history, and you can feel the sign of the times passed in every detail. The halls, the grand living room, the dining room, the staircase, everything was very special. The location is very close to some of the most beautiful Loire valley chateaux. The room and bathroom were very clean, the bed and pillows were excellent, the breakfast was very good, although somewhat limited. It was a great stay and we will definitely book here again when we visit other Loire valley chateaux the next time.

We loved it! The hotel was surprising with every step. Great welcome, excellent english skills, unique property. The room was spacious and so special, our room had the most surprising bathroom, probably the most rememberable of all travels :-D They have done a very good job at making a historical building equipped with comforts without losing the originality. The surroundings are also full of surprises, especially for children the Little prince inspired path in the forest is a wonderland. Take time when you go to this hotel! you will want to spend hours in the forests and have time for dining or breakfast like a royal visitor. I would love to return in the autumn at tomato season.

Very unique Château with authentic look and feel (both outside and inside) surrounded by beautiful gardens and a large plot of forest perfect for a relaxing stroll. Friendly staff with comfortable freedom for the guests to explore the property and surroundings at own pace

Lovely place to stay We booked one night and ended up staying for three No facilities for making drinks in the room, otherwise very good.

We had been interested in having dinner there, but it was a fixed menu with no choices, and one that didn’t appeal to us. The staff was very nice about us not eating there, though, and even helped us book an (excellent) alternate restaurant.
