Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaI’m not sure that anything could have been better considering the age of the Chateau. Had we stayed in Lyon, for example, in a 5 star hotel everything would have been perfectly functioning but we would not have had the unique experience we did. Be aware of this and do not have expectations of perfectly function but sterile hotel.
It was the experience that we really loved. The Chateau was very old and, in some aspects, our room reflected this. It was very nicely decorated though with a beautiful, serene view over the fields. The whole chateau was fascinating and, although a work in progress, had so much character and charm. The outdoor terrace area was a perfect place to bask in the sun and to just completely relax. We chose to spend our time soaking up the experience rather than sight see what appears to be a beautiful area of the country. The very best part of our stay here was our hosts. So very interesting, so very warm and welcoming. Their hospitality went far and beyond our expectations. It was effortless to have a connection with them. A bonus to this was the absolutely fabulous cooking of Nathalie complimented by the excellent table service of Ivan! Nathalie’s cooking is very creative and she seems to have a natural talent for subtly blending exotic flavours. We chose to dine at the Chateau as we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary and the food, its flavours and presentation were exquisite. All in all we could not have chosen a better place to celebrate our milestone anniversary and we made memories that we will treasure forever. Thank you Nathalie and Ivan for all you did for us. It was a pleasure meeting and being with you.

AustraliaIt would have been nice to find out more about the château and maybe to do some sort of tour of certain parts of the château.
Our hosts were really lovely and the food at dinner was excellent. The rooms were comfortable. The artwork around the château was very eclectic and interesting.

NetherlandsIt is not just a hotel, it is a total welcoming experience in a castle, with very nice and interesting hosts. We had a nice day dinner there, together with other guests and excellent wines etc.

United KingdomJust the most remarkable Chateau - the location is stunning, the interior is an astonishing eclectic mix of art and furnishings. Nathalie and Ivan are wonderful hosts - nothing was too much trouble, and Nathalie's cooking is quite simply phenomenal. Coupled with Ivan's knowledge of wine as a guest you simply have to have dinner here! I could not rate this highly enough and can't wait to go back and visit.

FranceNathalie and Ivan are excellent hosts and make you feel right at home. Nathalie's cooking is delicious and Ivan clearly knows a thing or two about wine. The castle itself is magnificent, the rooms are spacious and quiet, and the beds are very comfortable. The two days that we spent there were amazing!

United StatesTraveling to France was a dream come true - -and one of our highlights was 3 nights at this charming Chateau. The views were breathtaking and our hosts, Nathalie and Ivan were warm and welcoming, going out of their way to help us with nearby sightseeing. Treating us more like family than guests. They truly spoiled us. Exceptional breakfast and dinners. Private places to read and relax and a comfortable bed with great pillows! We hope to come back some day!!

Who wouldn’t love living in a castle for a couple of days? We completely enjoyed our stay. It was a clean and comfortable room, the hosts Nathalie and Ivan were so friendly and welcoming, we couldn’t have asked for more. Our dinners were delicious and Nathalie and Ivan were so attentive to any wants we had. The countryside surrounding was beautiful, quiet and serene. We were able to completely relax!
