Don’t be fooled by the photos advertising this place. It is one of the worst places I’ve ever stayed in. The staff were totally disengaged. The room and restaurant were dirty. The evening meal was grossly overpriced and shockingly bad. Our bottle of wine never even reached the table. Breakfast was a mixture of dried off-cuts of bread and cake with a fruit salad that looked as if it had been left there for a week to ferment. Cobwebs in the bedroom proved to be the final nail in the coffin for this dreadful place.

    Absolutely nothing!

The dinner at the château is not worth unfortunately. That is a pity with a a place like this, but better search for a better place for dinner in Aurillac

The château is very nice and clean, worth any penny.

Beautiful room, comfortable bed. Lovely owners who showed us around the chateau Told us a bit of its history and let us look at other rooms. The dinner was served at tables on the lawn and was superb.

Tea and coffee facilities in room rather poor. Shame that dinner menu on Sunday night was a bit limited. Good food otherwise.

It was early in season so work was still happening inside, the games room was right out of Downton Abbey, with a pool/billiard table way passed its sell by date and pretty much nothing else.

The hotel is superb, in beautiful grounds with only a golf course to spoil the outstanding views. The food in the restaurant is highly recommended. We were the only guests so staff were very good to us.

The room we booked was not available as the heating was not on. This suite had its own private ground floor entrance which would have been ideal for our dog. As it was our room was on the top floor of the chateau in the roof with only roof lights. Access involved a lift to the second floor and then a winding narrow staircase to the top floor. It was not suitable for our dog.

The evening meal was out of this world. The park was lovely and the views were beautiful.

Room lacked personality, and would serve best as a room to only spend the night. The bed was hard and there was no chatau feeling. We got a dirty napkin in the restaurant, had to battle a lot of flies and the food was over-priced. Also the wifi wasn't working during our stay.

Our room was in the attic and it didn't have air conditioning. It was so hot and made it very uncomfortable for sleeping. We opened the windows, but the church bells in the nearby village chime every hour !

The hotel was beautiful in a lovely tranquil setting in the hills. Staff were very accommodating and pleasant. Tasty local food for dinner, but only basic menu of the day available.

Restaurant offered simple food (borderline kids menu) but charged as if they served up something extraordinary and not by the menu on the homepage - at all. Apparent problems in kitchen (!) caused them to serve coffee, some juice and bread (with hotel jams) - that's it. No buffet, but still charged the same money. Poor/no information in rooms (e.g. phone number to reception, breakfast hours e t c) Internet didn't work Reviews on Booking.com seems to convey either previous management or times of better past

Several of the staff really did their best to keep up appearances and make the stay pleasant, though a bit young. Location (though really out of the way) and potential - this place could really be something with the right managment
