Lovely place to stay; felt welcome

The room facilities were absolutely adequate, functional, clean etc, but only the standard ones of older hotels, and ... you can always look out the window rather than around the room.

The overall ambience of the hotel was very good - it was definitely a chateau. Good to be able to sit out on the terrace drinking in the grounds as well as the pastis. Comfortable lounge (though lounge rather undersells the room - it was more like a state room that you look at from the other side of the railing when looking round a country house - antique chairs, paintings etc). The evening meal was good, breakfast excellent. The staff were welcoming and looked after us very well (family run, not all speaking English). Well worth the few extra miles from the AutoRoute to get the peace, quiet and careful attention to guests.

Don't stay in the "apartment ". It is an old coachman house not located inside the castle and has poor standards (even versus the rest of the property). Expensive for what you get.

    Gardens are nice.

Chateau a bit run down, furnishings kind of random, hodgepodge, staff seemed disorganised, room small and hot, poorly furnished, breakfast pretty poor for the price.

Pretty, old chateau on nice grounds in nice location.

Prefer modern, sleek bathrooms. This was spotless but a bit tacky.

    Rien.

The welcome was warm, and lthe comfort and charm were exceptional! !The food was delicious, and we were delighted with the 2 dinners we had there, which were prepared especially for us! The hosts were extremely kind and helpful, giving us personal attention and advice on local attractions!!

In a lovely spot, way off beaten track and very quiet.
    • Solo traveller

I had just driven for 10 hours and arrived at 8pm on a Saturday to be told that they had given the cook the night off, so no restaurant. I could drive (as if I wanted to) to the nearest village for dinner if a wished. Room musty, bed small double (I had booked Superior Double), room small, no floor space once bags in, shower impossibly small. No bottled water, etc in room.

In a lovely spot, way off beaten track and very quiet.

The staff were not helpful when we complained about the small size of the rooms compared to the photos on the website! The beds were hard and the rooms were expensive for what you got!!!

    Good breakfast.

    The building looks really beautiful.

Uncomfortable room. We were put in the attick, with a slanting roof. The water pipes of the building ran through our room so we heard the noise. Small bed, one old beat up wool blanket, no other blanket in room so we were cold. Lots of steps to schlepp suitcase. Atmosphere cold and not particularly welcoming. This definitely is not worth €125.

    The building looks really beautiful.
