Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomInterior decor is tired and needs updating. Some of the infrastructure badly needs repairing.
Friendly and convenient resort with great little swimming pool, table tennis tables. All incusive food was excellent at every meal. The only downside was that the hotel is ageing and needs some repair work. The wooden balcony outside our flat was literally crumbling away. The flat really needs updating and renovating. But overall our kids liked the resort a lot and it's a great place for a family trip.

United Kingdom⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “Oasis of Cleanliness, Calm, and Comedic Relief” After a week-long epic on two wheels—from the glorious green hills of North Wales to the sun-drenched South of France—dodging motorways like they were potholes filled with regret, we finally rolled into Sowell Family Pignada Plage. And what a relief. Let me set the scene: every night before this, we’d stayed somewhere new. Each place was a little game of "guess what's growing in the corner" or "find the light switch before the cockroach does." Bordeaux gets a special mention—beautiful city, but the apartment door opened like it had seen things... terrible things. We laughed. We cried. We sanitized. Then came salvation: Sowell Family Pignada Plage. Spotless rooms! Crisp sheets! Not a single dubious stain or suspicious smell in sight. I nearly hugged the bed (and might have, if my biker leathers hadn’t been sticking to me). The staff? Absolute legends. While their English was as shaky as my GCSE French, we communicated better than most married couples. Smiles, hand gestures, wild guesses—it worked! I asked for a towel and somehow got directions to the beach and a croissant. Perfect. And the food? Oh, chef’s kiss! After days of grabbing whatever vaguely edible thing we could find at roadside stops, the buffet here felt like a Michelin-starred miracle. Ample choice, fresh flavours, and enough variety to make even the fussiest of bikers full and happy. We might’ve gone back for thirds… for research purposes, obviously. The setting is peaceful, the air pine-scented, and the pool looked like a shimmering blue promise of better days. After miles of saddle soreness and a crash course in European plumbing, we finally found somewhere that felt like a holiday. Two nights never felt so luxurious. Merci, Sowell Family Pignada Plage—you’ve restored our faith in accommodation, humanity, and the French hospitality industry.

AustraliaThe reception staff were exceptional, friendly, and helpful. Our room was more than adequate in size, equipment etc for our stay. Your attention to different cuisine for different tastes was very thoughtful and appreciated by us Aussies. The wonderful view while eating breakfast was an added bonus. It would have been wonderful to stay a bit longer to really appreciate all your establishment has to offer, but our travel plans did not allow it, unfortunately.

SwitzerlandWe were 3 people in a 6 person appartment thus we had plenty of space but for 6 people the space would be more limited I believe. For 6 people the appartment would accommodate 2 on a sofa bed, 2 on a bunk bed & 2 in a double bed.
We were upgraded to a larger room & received an upgrade to an all inclusive package, thus the stay exceeding our expectations. The appartment was very well thought out, clean & modern. The restaurant food was also good & the option to take food away we made use of. Excellent location on a calm inlet from the sea, perfect for children to paddle in & for water activities. The more wild Atlantic coast & amazing beach could be reached within a 20-25 minute walk.

BelgiumGreat location, right in front of a big lake on which we had a nice view. The hotel with appartment are only a nice walk (15-20 min) to the beautiful sea and beach, good for surfing, swimming and pleasant walks. A sailing and surf center nearby as well as Facilities to rent a pedalo boat on the lake with slide. We enjoyed the good food offered by the restaurant catering as well as the breakfast and lunch. We also had dinner in some of the pleasant restaurants around the lake and at the sea side.

HungaryThe appartment didn't have an AC, and ours was located in a way that we had no privacy as the balcony and windows directly looked to the common hallways.
Very spacious and well equipped appartment, close to a nce lake but to the ocean you have to drive. We got an all-inclusive breakfast-lunch for free for our room whihc helped with the price-value ratio.

United StatesThe hotel was 388 euros for 1 night, they told us there was a “special” for booking on booking.com (it wasn’t everyone, was offered the same). The special included all you can drink and eat during certain hours. The food was horrible and it’s only beer until certain hours. The place is 20 minutes from Hossegor, not convenient. The room smelled like chlorine which was to cover up the mold smell. Once the chlorine faded it was awful smelling.

SpainWe had to wait in the boiling heat for our room at 1700. We were at the private beach area and this woman was just soooo annoyed that my dog was there enjoying not being in the car and wriggling in the sand. Besides that, was not good to not have ac in the room and the bathroom style of having to squeegee every time. We stayed at a different camp area the night before that was more comfortable.
Nice breakfast and areas
