Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaAllot of road noise as is a popular district for people to hang out at late at night, suggest you bring ear plugs.
Great location if you want to go to all the main attractions, 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station and quite close to Gare du Nord so was easy to get to. The staff were exceptional and friendly, was lovely to see such a happy welcoming from them each time we came back to our room. Loved our balcony view which was great for pictures. The 24/7 concierge desk was a plus and put our minds at ease for safety.

United KingdomIt takes a while for hot water to reach the rooms on the top floor but the bonus of a balcony was worth the minor inconvenience.
Room was comfortable and clean. The restaurant next to the hotel serves an amazing carbonara, and the close proximity to metro and Gare du Nord is a real bonus. Absolute highlight though was Yaz. He was friendly, fun and just plain lovely.

ThailandThe location is certainly a distinct feature of the hotel especially when considering the price you pay for the room because it is so close to the Gare de l'Est train station and not far from the Sacré-Cœur Basilica. I find the price very reasonable. Moreover, the staff is very nice and friendly; they can help you find whatever you ask for.

FranceThe room had what looked like a small, tiny fridge, but I was unsure if it was working. Being able to put a bottle of cold water or some leftovers from the night before would have been convenient. The bathroom smelled moldy occasionally, but it wasn't too bad. I know it's common in Paris, especially in older, less expensive hotels. This hotel went the extra mile to include an air freshener in case the smell gets bad, which I thought was a night gesture/thought.
This hotel is close to the Gare de l'Est train station and, therefore, close to many metro stops and bus stops. It is also on a street full of restaurants, stores, and boulangeries, so there is always something delicious right around the corner if you are hungry. The hotel staff is super friendly, making you feel like you are "chez toi," which means at home in English. The room I stayed in was a good size, and it had a small bathroom. The room was equipped with clean towels and a few soap packets, a coffee machine, a kettle, and some coffee and tea packets. Oh! and there was also a small safety box too. Thanks to the two large windows facing the courtyard, it also had a lot of natural light. There is an elevator, too, which is super convenient if you have large suitcases. The bed was comfortable, and it had soft, fluffy pillows to sleep on. The room and the hotel were pretty clean overall.

VietnamNot the property itself (and no fault of their own) but the location can be a bit unsafe. We were almost robbed when walking around Gare de Nord.

AustraliaIt’s an old building so the floors were disconcertingly uneven, but really that just adds character.
This property is a charming option in an excellent location in Paris. Central to two metro lines and a relatively quick walk to Gare de Nord. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Restaurant up and down St Denis were great.
