There is no parking so we had to park outside the Intremuros and pay 37 EUR per night.

We got a free upgrade, so we stayed in a room with sea view. Room size is quite large if compared to other hotels inside the Intramuros. Front desk staff was very friendly and effective. Location is the best possible.

The weather!

Location was brilliant. The views of the sea were superb. The hotel had exceptionally fine dining.

Historic hotel sympathetically restored and retaining very spacious rooms and windows. Staff very helpful. Bathroom warm and comfortable with generous amount of towels and toiletries. Beds very comfortable and lighting excellent. Bistro restaurant had a great ambiance and good choice of meals, including vegetarian dishes.

there was no reading space in my room, and the bedside lamps are much too weak. the breakfast is decent, but on the weekends the process gets extremely chaotic, - in the peak season it should be even worse.

It's an charming old hotel, luckily not overly modernized; the public spaces are spectacular, the rooms comfortable. The reception staff very nice.

The restaurant. Went to eat with a family member and 2 friends on the 10th of December .the food was very nice except The 2 waiters that evening on the 10th of December were terrible We asked for an appropriate fork to eat our oysters. The answer was,what is wrong with the large dinner one. Then when eating our mussels,my sister asked for a table spoon to stir the sauce with the mussels and was answered sarcastically that she was the demanding person .And it didn’t stop there. My uk friend asked for (un verre de vin rouge)and the waiter and couldn’t understand her and again sarcastically said (un verre de vin Russe) Finally I asked for the bill at the table as we wanted to pay separately and was told to go to the till. We did and paid each what we ate and drunk .we were short of 10euro which I couldn’t understand. One of the waiter said after 10 minutes that he was giving us the discrepancies.But when I returned to my room.we were overcharged one desert 9euro. A beautiful day and meal spoiled by 2 ignorants waiters.

The hotel was very nice and the staff at the reception and t the little bar were very nice .

Rooms are quite tired, and unfortunately the cleanliness in the rooms leaves much to be desired, a lot of dust in the corners, cobwebs on the window, wrinkled sheets. Breakfast was good, but not worth the money they ask for it. The selection is very limited and everything is served in small portions, so people go through it in 2 minutes.

Always interesting to stay in the historical place. Hotel itself is very beautiful, also it's very well located.

Breakfast bar hot food disjointed - there was 4 hot dishes 2 were one side of the breakfast bar and 2 the other side. The breakfast bar was about 20 foot long so you had to walk round the other side of breakfast bar to complete your hot breakfast and by that time you may have to wait for other people to get their’s.

Noise from aircon outside the room kept me awake. Bedroom ceiling looked a bit dodgy. Nowhere to put makeup on as no lighting or socket near desk, and no shelf in bathroom. Minor details really.

The location is perfect. The hotel is a charming mixture of old and modern (although a little updating wouldn’t go amiss in certain areas). The staff are exemplary. The bath was huge and bathroom modern.

Nothing to dislike.

Location was exceptional in the heart of Intramuros. Good restaurants and bars nearby. Public parking at the rear of hotel which was inexpensive and freely available.
