It was annoying to login to wifi each time

Great location in old town, with lots of restaurants, bars, shops etc. nearby On tram lines A & B so easy to get to & from main station, and to get around town Very friendly staff. Very quiet & comfortable room, able to fully open window for fresh air.

I don't like very much this kind of WiFi conncetion with online portal to enable the access. Besides we could only connect one device at a time.

We had made a reservation for one night on the new year's eve. When we arrive the host told us that we had been upgraded to a better room. That was very nice of him. During our whole stay the people there were welcoming and very nice.

    Not a thing

The hotel is in the very centre of Grenoble (15 minute easy walk from train station). Amazing architecture of the actual building. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The decor in the room was excellent and it had all the amenities we expected (except tea/coffee however from a bit of experience this seems to be standard in France). The breakfast had everything we wanted and was fresh.

The corridor smelled of smoke, but with most old hotels you will get this until they decorate stairwell and halls, but they are doing the rooms first by the looks and thats fine by me. shower door seal on doors had a gap and leaked water out

Rooms have been redecorated to a nice finish, reception was very pleasant and staff were very good. old style fittings, but modern fixings ( i know, but you'll see).

The receptionist said the sauna was out of order, though it looked to be operative. The fitness centre was a joke - one old exercise bike and a broken rowing machine. I was annoyed because I booked the hotel specifically because of these advertised facilities. The room was much smaller than those in the photos and Outlook appeared to be blocked from internet access.

While the hotel boasts many good things there are some minuses. The room we got was very small. The bed was in fact so small that it could have been a one person bed. Housekeeping left only towels for one person so it made me wonder if they didn't give us a one person room for double use. Aside from this the great central location comes at a price: the area around the hotel is largely pedestrianised but this means that it is not extremely difficult to reach with a car. In case guests have large suitcases this can be an issue. Parking is limited too. We left it at an underground parking lot at around a ten minute walk away near the park. It wasn't cheap at 18€/24h

The location can't be beaten: right in the middle of Grenoble centre with shops, bars and restaurants all around. We got a room at the front of the hotel overlooking the charming and lively Place Grenette with its many summer terraces. Wifi was good and strong and the airconditioning worked flawlessly. We heard no noises from adjacent rooms. The hotel has a lift which is convenient with, luggage on the higher floors. By the reception are there is a small but pleasant lounge/lobby area.

The room was small for the price. The facilities were missing (no kettle for coffee/tea). The bathroom is extremely small, but functional. Being extremely close to the tram line meant that it was noisy (with window and shutter closed!) even from the third floor and I kept hearing people in the road celebrating until 2am (but this is not a hotel issue!). Also the alarm kept going off several times... Overall, if I come back to Grenoble, I will not go here..

The location is excellent, in centre of Grenoble and close to two tram lines. The staff were also excellent. There was free wifi as well.

I live in Grenoble, but had to stay in a hotel one night due to work being done in my apartment. I'd passed this hotel almost every day for 12 years -- and finally decided this is where I would stay. I wasn't disappointed. The greeting by the staff is warm and welcoming. The hotel lobby is clean and cheery. I stayed in room #9 which had a view over Place Grenette. Despite being over one of the noisiest areas in the city, I didn't hear a thing ! The hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Grenoble and beautiful ! The wooden stair case is beautiful, I took the stairs instead of the elevator just to be able to see it ! The rooms are standard european size , very clean and well appointed. The bathroom is very clean, a bit dated but clean ! The location of the hotel is perfect to be downtown near restaurants, the tram, train station, shopping. I would definitely recommend this hotel
