Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomSadly there are no taxis or Uber in Concarneau so the walk between the main town and bus station was quite a long way, especially with cases.
The size of the room was excellent but best of all, the receptionist was so helpful and welcoming. That made all the difference to my stay. I liked the balcony and view over the bay.

United KingdomNot so much didn’t like, but observations: it’s very close to the sandy beach, which gets very small when the tide is in. The part covered by sea is weedy - we wore wet shoes. It’s just under a mile from the town and there is no transport after 1900hrs. There is a snack bar next door, and a small restaurant and a buvette (bar) within walking distance - all very good - we tried them! - but hours vary (Google is not correct). The pool is under a Lidl-type green house and the air can get very hot.
This hotel runs like a well-oiled machine and is very clean. We had a large room with a balcony overlooking the beach - the hotel aligned so that front rooms, like ours, get the afternoon sun. Lots of parking. Still/cold/sparkling water provided free. The buffet breakfast is very good value. There is a chemist next door.

United KingdomThe restaurant manager (tall, thin) was arrogant and short tempered. There was another man helping in the restaurant who was lovely, he talked to everyone and tried to help. He was snapped at by Mr tall and thin, but the customers really appreciated his friendly help. There were a lot of elderly visitors when we were at the hotel and some of them needed help with the menus etc. The asian girl and the other man tried to help but Mr tall and thin was snapping at them. Also the lady on reception/restaurant in the mornings was hell on legs!! No time for anyone, no help with questions, etc, etc. We stay in lots of hotels across Europe and we think that the staff are hugely important to the visitor experience.
Firt of all we have to really applaud the young asian/chinese lady who checked us in and who was hugely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. She seemed to be on duty in the late afternoon and evening and she is an absolute credit to your organisation both on reception and in the restaurant/bar where she seemed to work as well during the evening.. I had already phoned her before our arrival with various requests and she was really helpful on the phone as well. We loved the view from our window and the room was clean and well equipped. We just have two suggestions for you. Firstly, it would be good if you had one English speaking news channel on the TV. Probably Sky News, because you probably have many English speaking guests (American, Canandian, British, Scandanavian etc). Secondly, it is a good idea to have some hard soap in the rooms with baths. If you are in the bath you cannot access the soap dispenser up on the wall by the shower, it is too high.

United KingdomThe location is excellent but, because I sleep with the windows open, it was quite noisy as the hotel is on the main road at a roundabout. But the hotel itself was perfect for what we wanted.
The room was large, with a table and chairs plus an armchair, plus the shower was a large walk in, which was good. The bed was also large and very comfy.

United KingdomStaff provided a fan as some warm nights (no a/c) but I did not mind this. Occasionally noisy at night as place for scooter riders to go past the hotel but as double glazed not too bothersome.
Superb view of the ocean, clean, lovely breakfast with good choice of foods, welcoming and helpful staff, covered pool for days when less sunny, pool table for evening entertainment, free chilled water bottles daily (self-serve).

New ZealandThere was no ceiling light, just lamps. The walk along the water's edge to the centre was attractive, but long, and it was shorter to take the inland route when returning. We would like to have stayed longer but their prices went up, which was disappointing.
This is one of the nicest places we've stayed in for a while. We had parking outside our room, although most don't seem to have this. However, the hotel parking is extensive. Our room was larger than expected and the bathroom was a good size. English was spoken at the reception. It was quiet and the water is just over the road. Although there was no information guide in any language, staff were helpful in answering any questions.
