Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelHotel is under renovations currently, so our window was blocked. The room is a little out-dated and could use some renewing (we saw some small tears in the single bed mattress). There is an elevator, but for our room, you still had to go through some stairs after going out from the elevator, could be a problem for people with disabilities.
Hotel at a perfect location, on a small street, quiet and clam. We read previous comments regarding the small elevator, it wasn't an issue for us, we didn't wait a long time to get up\down. The staff was very very kind and welcoming.

Of course the location was great. The room was small but it is Paris. The bathroom was on different levels due to it being an old property. The bed was nice and the staff was goodl

United States of AmericaThe location is hard to beat, you are in the middle of La Marais! The rooms are clean and although they are small and cozy, it was perfect for a 2-person, 2-night stay. Will definitely be returning!

United States of AmericaNo air conditioning and loud overlooking the street when windows were opened.
They were very accommodating because it was a last minute booking. The room was a suite and very French. Sleeping portion was a bit dark and there were no outlets near the beds. Also, the light switch when off turned off the outlet. So that was tricky. The mattress was like a thick futon so a bit firm for me. Not sure what it would be like staying in warm weather because there did not appear to be AC. We had to use fans because it was warm at night and with windows open was too loud outside. But overall, the location and extra space made it very worthwhile. The cleaning staff was also very thorough.

United States of AmericaIt would have been great if I could get the towel warmer to work!
We really enjoyed the bustling neighborhood with cute fancy shops and lovely places to eat. The staff were so helpful and friendly and our room was very cute with fabric wall coverings and exposed beams. I was traveling with my mom and we had two twin beds which was perfect.

United States of AmericaThe rooms are super-tiny. There was hardly any room for two mid-size suitcases. The suitcases blocked the space between the entrance and the bed, so we had to move them each time to open the door.
The location of the hotel is excellent. There are tons of of local bars and restaurants. Many major attractions are in a fairly short distance. We were able to walk everywhere, including the Latin Quarter and the St Genmain area. The hotel staff is super-helpful and speaks many languages.

United States of AmericaOur hotel room was never properly described in Booking.Com. We were surprised to find that our room had a partial loft platform built in, covering half the lower level, which the very high ceiling allowed. That accounts for the advertised 300 room square footage. The beds were on this second level, accessed by a curving staircase. Folks with walking issues should be notified of this in the hotel room description. Also, you could once or twice faintly hear folks talking in the adjacent room or walking in room above, predictable in old buildings, but it was no real bother. The bathroom didn't have a walk in shower but rather a big bathtub with shower, which maybe a problem for folks with knee problems. A burned out tiny decorative light on a mirror was overlooked by cleaning staff, which I too forgot to report before checking out.:)
The location was great, on a quiet charming side street with attractive older buildings. There were good bistros, markets, and stores right next door or just a short walk away. A great location, to repeat. The hotel decor has attractive faded charm. The staff was very helpful and very pleasant. The hotel was quiet overall and so was the area. The chubby cat in the lobby was a nice decorative touch.

United States of AmericaWifi and internet were mediocre. My phone tended to rely on cellular signal rather than the weak wifi signal. And my laptop generally would not even connect to the wifi. Very disappointing in 2023. Room ventilation was so-so - we wanted to leave a window open but there was too much street noise. English-language TV was advertised but not functional. Lack of CNN was a big downer with Israel/Hamas events happening.
Location was very convenient - close to Metro and sights we wanted to see. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was excellent, although the same every morning. Really enjoyed the cozy "breakfast cave." Lots of good restaurants close by.
