To keep the rating score and review content relevant for your upcoming trip, we archive reviews older than 24 months.
Only a customer who has booked through Booking.com and stayed at the property in question can write a review. This lets us know that our reviews come from real guests, like you. Who better to tell others about the free breakfast, friendly staff, or quiet room than someone who’s stayed at the property before?
We want you to share your story, both the good and the bad. All we ask is that you follow a few simple guidelines.
We believe review contributions and property responses will highlight a wide range of opinion and experiences, which are critical in helping guests make well-informed decisions about where to stay.
Contributions to Booking.com are a reflection of the dedication of our guests and properties, and are treated with the utmost respect.
Whether negative or positive, we'll post every comment in full, as quickly as possible, after being moderated to comply with Booking.com guidelines. We'll also provide transparency over the status of submitted content.
Once a review has been submitted, you can modify it by contacting Booking.com customer service.
We will use the same guidelines and standards for all user-generated content as well as the property replies to that content.
We will allow the contributions to speak for themselves, and we won’t be the judge of reality. Booking.com’s role is that of a distributor of feedback from both guest and property.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc...).
눉We were a bit disappointed that the reception staff told us to hurry when we phoned from St Gingolph to tell that we were on our way and had to hurry as the kitchen would close at 9.00 p.m. We arrived, took a quick shower and waited on the terrace to be served drinks from 8.30 to 8.55 p.m. and got a bit frowned upon for wearing (clean) sports clothes. It seemed like the Maître d’hotel wanted to be in charge of taking the order, whereas he had excellent personnel fully qualified to do so.
For breakfast, we had to wait outside a closed door to get in and ask the kitchen to open the door. The rap music on the radio did not really work for early morning wake up or the environment of a four star hotel.
눇The new gastronomic restaurant is fantastic. The location is gorgeous - I rated parking as excellent as we were visiting during the tour around the lake on our tandem. The food was absolutely delicious in the restaurant and once seated, excellent service.
눉The hot water didn't work well - it seemed there was a water boiler in every house and there was only limited amount of hot water in one go. But the reception lady apologized to us when we told her and hopefully it can be improved. The house was a bit cold even though the heating was all on.
눇The area was very nice and quiet. We got a house for us own and there were certain distance between each house, so you have your privacy. The house was very cute and the price was very good for what we got. We have four adults and two children and there were plenty of space for us during the stay. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. Even though it was still winter, the kids were running outside and had fun. We can image how nice it would be in Summer.
