Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IrelandEven though it was only April the weather was quite warm which made it a little hot for sleeping. There is an air conditioning panel just inside the door but I couldn't figure out how it worked (I should have asked the staff, my fault that I didn't).
We loved the location as the Metro was only 2 minutes away, and the staff were excellent - extremely friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was good value. The decor is quirky and welcoming. The room was a good size for a Parisian hotel, very clean and comfortable. We had a double and a single bed in the room and it was still very accessible. The bathroom was small but the shower was easy to use and had plenty of hot water. There was a good amount of starage space in the room. We liked that there was a tiny balcony, no outdoor furniture though. There is a small lift, very appreciated considering that we were on the fifth floor. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance and for both of the two nights that we were there we had great dinners.

Christof and his fabulous team have created a little gem in the centre of Paris. Small, compact and bijou! Original art adorns every wall, with a beautiful lounge where you can relax after a busy day out and about. There is a piano for guests to play. A delicious freshly prepared breakfast is available every morning and has an ice machine for the guests. A bar service is available on request. Every member of the team were polite, friendly and always helpful.

United KingdomWould have been good to have tomatoes at breakfast.
Location was good for our purposes and within walking distance of train stations (Nord and Est) and metro. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. There was a safe in the wardrobe; a heated towel rail; a hair dryer and TV. There was also good storage. Bathroom was modern and well lit albeit typically small. Miniature bottles of shampoo, shower gel and lotion as well as a soap dispensor in the shower. Quirky (in a good way) decor in the communal areas. There was a lift to all floors. Breakfast was continental buffet style. Good selection of fruit juices; plenty of breads and pastries (incluidng gluten free products); good selection of hams, cheeses, salami and boiled eggs; muesli and cornflakes; good selection of yoghurts; coffee/hot chocolate machine and tea bags; juicy oranges and kiwi fruits and overall plentiful quantity of food laid out.

BelgiumGreat location for art lovers, many musea can be reached even without having to take the metro and The Marais is one of the best areas of Paris as a whole. Excellent breakfast in the cellar and a nice family atmosphere in the hotel, which definitely deserves more than 2 stars.

United KingdomIt was what it said it was.
Great location in the heart of ARTS et METIER, it had a functional lift which was key for me. The staff, were kind and helpful. The black out blinds and double glazed windows, were perfect for blocking out light and noise. Room was a decent size, with a separate desk and getting ready table. The variety art and piano on the ground floor was a nice touch.

United States of AmericaWashing basin is too small, water spills all around and makes floor wet. Good thing is there are always enough towels given to dry the floor.
My room has a balcony that is facing the alley off the busy avenue, so I can enjoy the exquisite Paris night view around me, yet it’s quiet enough to fall to sleep at night. Central location to many sceneries and museums, only 10 to 20 minutes away if you’re taking the metro. Restaurants of all kinds are nearby. Cleaning crew provides excellent services. We have had a very pleasant stay. Thanks for the warm hospitality from the owner and his team!
