Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomHotel is very clean but a little bit tired. The downstairs area was a bit cramped near the lift so had to be careful coming out of the lift in case people were waiting or leaving their luggage in space allocated next to the lift. We loved the size of the room but missed having a table by the window (we did have 2 chairs). The light in the bathroom was very dim so we had to use the long mirror in the bedroom.
Excellent central location! Right on the top of St. Catherine's shopping street and next to tourist office, Opera House, major tram stations, restaurants, cafes etc. We had a deluxe room on the 4th floor which was very spacious (2 doubles and a single bed) with air con and had a great outlook over the lovely square. Nice clean bath and shower with good water pressure. Also separate loo which is convenient. Breakfast was good price at €8 with small buffet of croissants, bread, juice, cheeses and yogurt plus coffee (which you ordered at the bar). Staff were very friendly and helpful and we were able leave our luggage after checking out as we had an evening flight.

IrelandAs mentioned in previous comments the hotel needs a lick of paint and there is no kettle in the room. That aside we had no complaints.
Stayed for 5 nights at Easter. Superb location. Cannot get anymore central. Literally everything is within walking distance. Staff were friendly and accommodating.

CyprusThe bed was a bit small for two people, and the room facilities were quite old (e.g. hair dryer). Also, there was no fridge, kettle or anything like this
The best part about this hotel was its location! Right on the top of St. Catherine's shopping street and next to major tram stations, restaurants, cafes etc.

ArgentinaIt's a bit dirty but I guess it's really because it's a very old building which also makes it a bit nice. The flickering light in the bathroom was a bit of a bugger
Location is perfect. The reception desk is super friendly and helpful. The room was ok for a 2 night trip. The bed was quite nice.

United KingdomFundamentally, you get what you pay for. If you're realistic about your expectations you won't be disappointed. To be clear, this isn't the best hotel, it's a bit tired, but it's other virtues outweighed any problems.
It's all about the location and the price. Both are unbeatable.

United States of AmericaHotel interiors, halls, etc. could be updated with fresh carpeting. Breakfast room could be edited to remove boxes stacked in corners and other items not need in view in the breakfast rooms. perhaps a door to bathroom would be better than a curtain. The hand dryer in bathroom is very loud and unnecessary noise when eating only 5' away in dining room.. Change to paper towels instead. Breakfast is on the slim side with only crousanst, bread, juices and coffee.... Could expand to include saucise, cheeses and eggs.
Location is superb, Staff is excellent, helful, courteous and chef does a great job.

BelgiumThe overall state of the building is not meeting the expectations of a three stars hotel. The moquette is old and dirty, same for the bath curtains. The structure would need a renovation.
The hotel is located in a very central position, close to the main shopping street (Rue Sainte Catherine). The room was per se comfortable, the bed as well.

FranceThere needs to be more attention paid to the carpet vacuuming in the rooms. The twin beds were a bit tired and lumpy but perfectly clean.
The location of this somewhat old fashioned, French hotel is outstanding; across the road from the Grand Theatre and the Noailles restaurant, which was why we were there - to eat well and enjoy the ballet. The room decoration is lovely and there is plenty of space for a couple. The French style breakfast is very good value for money.

IrelandThe noise from within the hotel (I think room was under a stairwell) was loud for maybe am hour at night. There was no facility in the room for making hot drinking water. The room was not cleaned on one day that we stayed, including no fresh towels and window was left open (temperature was freezing that day) after cleaning.
The reception was always open and staff were happy to help with directions or at check in and out. Staff were multilingual and were happy to speak to us in English. The location was amazing, 200m from the Christmas Markets and very close to The tourist office and the sights. The room was warm and clean. There was a hairdryer, extra pillows and blankets, plenty of soap and body wash. There was storage space for our clothes. There was a TV.
