Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomExtremely small rooms, very run down and tired, though rooms were clean, marks on some of the bedding. Upon arrival no water, so couldn't use the toilet. No tea coffee facilities or even water in the room, no usb connections. Wifi kept dropping out and had to get different codes to try and connect. Unfortunately reception's English wasn't brilliant and that was through the whole day. Couldn't even get ice and the safe was locked upon arrival and it took them 24 hours before they could open it up. Can't comment on the breakfast as I didn't have it, but it didn't look appealing.

UruguayThe rooms on the top floor are a bit difficult to access, you have to go one floor up the stairs and the windows on the ceiling made it a little strange, but it was OK for a short stay with good accessibility to Gare de Lyon and metro station.
The check in and check out were smooth. The room was clean. They supply with a good space to keep my luggage after the check out. Wifi worked perfectly. The elevator went OK up to the 5th floor (I was up in the 6th).

Iranshower bath with hand wash and toilet are 2 different doors and separate 😑😑 how it could be hygiene also the bath was filled with small hairs there was only a shampoo no body wash soap or even toothbrush !!!nothing!!!! also you can hear every single moves of other rooms!!!! it cost €238 for a night which even doesn’t worth for €50

United KingdomThe room was tiny and dingy, with a very small bathroom and a terrible shower that had to be held by hand. There were no shelves and no hooks, so it was difficult to arrange clothes. The stairs are very steep and spiral and the lift is tiny and claustrophobic. Breakfast was very basic and the coffee was terrible.

Francethe elevator is really narrow and stops in between floors, but you cannot get better unfortunately for being in an original building from the 19th century
