If you wanted to find a fault, and although it didn't worry me, someone might find fault with the stairs from the first level to the second on which we had our room (there was a small life from ground floor to first floor). Maybe a less fit person wouldn't want to carry heavy suitcases up the stairs. But I'm sure the hotel would have assisted if this was the case. To be honest though, these charming older hotels will generally not have elevators.

The room was very spacious, and we had a little balcony looking over the old street, which is closed to traffic, but plenty of pedestrians, and we enjoyed eating and drinking at the end of a day on the balcony. Also, so close to everything we wanted to see.

Room was really small. Was fine for one person, would have been a problem for two people. Shower was tiny, again was ok for me since I am a smaller person (5f 4inch) I was pretty much max size for that shower.

Struggle to make the portable air conditioning unit push out cold air and the manager wasn’t sure how to fix it. Was okay though, I just opened the window to cool the room down

Good hotel on a budget in the heart of Lyon. Rooms are a little small but perfectly fine for a couple of nights stay. Great location

The hotel being in an apartment block setting, it had lift access and receptionist service till late at night. The overall experience was not that positive due to lack of cleanliness and changing of towels, overpriced breakfast which consisted of instant coffee, a plain croissant, slice of bread and a very small amount of other compliments.

As indicated in the booking website, the hotel is situated at a very central location.

Nothing too bad but you can hear a bit of noise from outside as well as other rooms.

The location of this hotel was perfect! Central to any part of Lyon you may want to explore. The bathroom was fairly modern, the room not so much but it’s perfect for a short stay as you don’t spend much time in the room. For a solo traveler it was perfect. The staff - in particularly one lady- were lovely. She spoke great English and gave me some great recommendations.

Breakfast could have been better for the money. Shower in no14 was too small, my father-in law had difficulty showering.

The staff was very welcoming. The room exceeded my expectations. It was very quiet even though it looked out over the pedestrian walkway. There was a kettle and coffee/ tea. It was very quiet and I heard no noise from other guests or the street. There were additional blankets and pillows. There was just a very small square of soap and if you stayed longer than a day you needed to ask for additional coffee but that was no problem at all. The beds were made up with new sheets every day. The location was superb. Near the old town, The tourist office, museums and subway connections including a direct route out to the airport. The staff were especially kind and spoke perfect English. I recommend room 14.

There was nothing that could be done about it, and it occurred in the middle of widespread strikes, but the hot water system was broken for 24 hours - so cold water only for one day.

Lovely location, good, clean and pleasant room. I'd definitely stay here again - I think this is great value for Lyon.
