A superb traditional hotel, wonderfully situated in the very heart of Arles. We stayed in Room 2, front of the hotel, overlooking the Place du Forum, and the Van Gogh cafe. Can be noisy with Porte-fenetres open, but these are double glazed cutting out noise, and there is a/c if needed. Room is large, well furnished, beautiful bathroom, with classic French decorative sink. Overbath shower. Fridge in room. Manager/owner Florence is wonderful, helpful, efficient, most staff speak good English if required, and all so helpful and pleasant. Very nice garden area with small pool...and talking of pool, a great pool table in the bar. For a City break in Arles, we strongly recommend this, and will go back with family and friends. Some very good restaurants and coffee shops immediately adjacent.

    Nothing.

The location is perfect, just opposite of the famous Van Gogh cafe. The atmosphere of the square is great. The room is big and comfortable for 4 of us with very authentic decoration. The staff in the front desk is very friendly and helpful. They also have a onsite garage which is very convenient.

We did not have wifi in our room our entire stay. We mentioned to the staff and they said they were having wifi issues on our floor. Their recommendation was to go to the lobby if we wanted to use internet, which was a huge inconvenience.

The location is great. We were able to walk to all the major attractions and great restaurants.

Wifi did not work in our room, manager did apologise, explained that they were trying to fix it. Whilst our room was wonderful, climbing out of the elevated bath/shower was dangerous, extreme care needed.

We were upgraded to a superior room at reduced cost, it was just lovely, thank you. Hotel is in great location for exploring the town. Very quiet at night even though on Place du Firum. Easily walkable from train station. Hotel highly recommended!

Directions to the hotel were incomplete as you needed the reception to provide a code. Additionally, the hotel is located in the ancient walled city of Arles; this means a narrow labyrinth, poorly lit at night - quite intimidating and unsafe. Our SMART car (think tiny) hardly made it through these streets. Parking is a nightmare.

    Arles is a historic treasure

It would be nice to have a coffee maker in the room (I like it when I get ready for the day).

Loved having a pool in August, as the temperature was 95 F. Good pool bartender who really knew how to make a Mojito. Very friendly staff, great location! Nice, basic room.

The view from the room was nonexistent and unfortunately the colour scheme of room and bathroom was unsettling otherwise the room was perfectly adequate and the bed comfy

Booking.com need to make drivers aware of the following. We had hired a car to travel around Provence. Most of the hotels were fairly described and well signposted. This hotel although very central is impossible to get to by car. We wasted more than two hours driving around the city. We tried to call the hotel three times and line kept being cut off. Sat Nav was useless because roads are impassable. Bollards, gates and no entry signs almost everywhere. We could not see any signs for the hotel yet we knew it was central which was perplexing as we had had no problems in other Provencal towns. We asked locals. One laughed wryly and said that you cannot get there by car at all Eventually, getting more and more frustrated as our evening wore on we were able to speak to someone at the hotel. He said we had to drive around the outer city and then come in through Rue Jean Jaures which we attempted but that was shut off with a bollard too. A couple of locals suggested parking where we were and walking as it was only 10 minutes away however still no signs for hotel anywhere. In addition to which it was a busy Sunday night and no parking was available anywhere. We were stopped by the police as we had stopped to look at the maps more closely and when we said where we were headed he agreed that it was impossible. We had two maps at this stage and realised that the little black figures at the end and beginnings of roads were metal bollards. It was like playing an unforgiving board game in the end. The penny dropped eventually and after more driving around we found parking which was free from 19.00 hrs to 9 next morning. It was already 20.30 and walked with all our luggage. It was absolutely baking. Even if we could have dropped off our luggage at least and then found a city long term parking as had been the case for L'Hotel de L'horloge in Avignon this would have been fine but that was not at all possible here.

Overpriced for the age of the hotel. The bathtub, built in later, was very high and causes trouble for handicapped people. The picture of the pool schows a very very positive vantage point, it isn't that big at all.

Big rooms, directly in the city center. We could change our room (because of a noisy A.C.) without any problems and got a room with two lovely beds without any problems.

Difficulty to find TAXI at the train station in late afternoon/early evening. Eventually called hotel and one of their staff came to collect us in his own car. Hotel arranged TAXI easily and on time on the morning of our departure from the City on AMA Waterways River cruise

Very nice family owned and run Hotel. Staff are VERY friendly and helpfull. Hotel serves breakfast and has nice cozy bar. Many great restaurants in same small square as hotel and and also close by. Most ancient sites within short walking distance. Found people in Arles to be very friendly. Arles is a lovely city to visit and explore. We look forward to returning to Arles and this hotel soon.

Personally I don't like a help yourself breakfast buffet and we had a small confusion over how breakfast worked on day one - very swiftly sorted by the staff. But if you like a self serve buffet, it's not bad and my partner liked that it included scrambled eggs and bacon. The pool temperature was colder than the sea in Nice so beware if you are not used to swimming in cold water. After the initial shock on entering we found it refreshing.

Loved it all really. Fabulous room overlooking the Place du Forum. Beautiful natural lighting affording lovely view. Staff friendly and helpful and clearly wanted to provide good service and did so. Nice bar. Nice pool area. Characterful decor. Best location. Brilliant stay. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

We were there for just one night and the bar was closed - apparently it is closed on Sunday's and our stay happened to be on a Sunday. The France v Switzerland game was on and it would have been lovely to just sit in the bar and watch the match. I think it's a bit silly that it is not open every day.

Loved our room which overlooked the pool. It was just the right amount of rustic, very clean and quiet. Great location and the music they played in the bar was just wonderful although there was no-one serving in it...

Our room was very noisy as it overlooked the square - loud music and talking until 2am every night and then bin collection in the morning at 6 am - we needed earplugs! We were disappointed not to have tea/coffee facilities in the room.

Friendly, helpful staff - gave great suggestions for places to eat! Central location. Large, clean rooms.

Bathroom facilities are too old. Need replacement.

Large room in provincial style. Nice interior. Great staff. Breakfast in the pool area is great advantage.

The elevator, next to our room, sounded like a bowling alley. We were able to mask the sound by leaving the ventilation system on. And >some< room has to be next to the elevator shaft !

Staff was consistently warm, helpful, & attentive. Pool was peaceful & lovely. Location is tops. Can't comment on breakfast as we did not eat at the hotel.

Nothing wrong with the hotel ,Only thing was we were a bit diappointed with Arles , felt it was a bit too 'touristy' and no riverside area , Avignon was much better for this

Great position in place de forum . Traditional building , the pool looked great (unfortunately didn't get a chance to try it ! ) Very good , would highly recommend this hotel Arles is a good city but a bit touristy - especially around this area , but don;t let that put you off

    A good experience

Great. Wonderful location. Large, comfortable, modern room.Front desk staff EXTREMELY helpful with restaurant recommendations. Other suggestions as well. Do not miss the pool. Quit bar. Did not go to restaurant, late sleeper. First rate. Good price. And I travel often, so I have some idea about when a property pays attention to detail.

    No such

An excellent location. The staff are just great. They know the area well and do warn you from tourists traps. When I was lost in Arles narrow streets with my car, they came up to guide me to the hotel.

Nothing. Everyone was so helpful and kind.

The Du Forum was perfectly located in the center of town with restaurants and shops all around. We loved being able to go out at night and not be far from the hotel. Everything was as advertised, and the pool was in a beautiful setting.

Covering of luggage shelf is worn out and not clean. Would be nice if Bar fridge or coffee station was available. Bed's comfort could improve.

Spacious room and bathroom. Excellent location. Friendly English speaking staff. Very pleasant pool area.

Can't think of a thing unless you want to be an abnoxious nit picker.

The biggest asset to the Hotel is the Manager (Florence). She contacted us personally and met all our requests. The Hotel is in the best localtion in Arle. The Hotel was clean with great service. Parking was limited (spaces), but available. We had a room overlooking the old Forum. The Hotel has a great pool and has all the charm of would you would expect of a historic French Hotel. Florence made our stay the most memorable of our Provence experience. Great price as well. Can't wait to go back!!!!
