It is a minimalist hotel - you get the bed and a bathroom and that's it The staff were polite, though appeared to know nothing or very little about Nantes when asked - other than the directions to Tourist Information.

The hotel was clean and easy to find, fairly close to Nantes train station

Stairs are very narrow no elevator you need to carry your luggage through the narrow stairs. You can hear every flush coming from the toilet. You need to go through small narrow corridor as well. The staff are lovely though...

Distance from town center 0.4 mile according to Google map.

Due to a shortage of rooms in Nantes, prices were substantially increased and room was very expensive for what it was. If the room was at it's normal price, would be OK value.

OK room in an older hotel, a bit "worn around the edges". We were on the third floor, stairs only, not an issue for us, but could be for some. Secure parking in a garage was provided for our bicycles was a good plus. View of the church was good, and the double windows cut down the noise.

    1. WiFi signal was to low because the Room I stayed had a big corridor to get arround another Room; 2. Pigeons slep on the windows and their noise echoes in the toilette; 3. The heating had a problem and I woke up two times on the second night with this huge noise that took so long to disappear. In both times I called the front desk and he get into to the Room to try to fix it without sucess.

There was a strong chemical smell in the room upon entering, but we got used to it and did not take any notice of it after a while.

Room is not that small as it may seem, it was pretty sufficient for our 3 days stay. Staff extremely polite and very helpful. Amazing breakfast, although mainly with sweet stuff. Hotel is conveniently located opposite a church, which is definitely worth visiting during Christmas time. The city center is within walking distance.

It was a little bit cold in the room.

The people at the reception were really nice. My mum came to pick us up to visit the city and they offered her a coffee on the house. They also gave us some bottles of water in an evening when we've asked.

Maybe the parking situation, but for us it wasn't a huge problem.

Amazing views and location. Right from our window (in front of it really) was a giant cathedral with its gothic architecture. The hotel is so close to everything--The Castle of the Dukes of Normandy, restaurants, cafes--everything! The parking was full when we got there--so you'd have to park outside that's your luck that day, but right in front of the hotel we found parking which the meter said was from for a whole month! (For a holiday or just summer--don't know). The staff was super nice too! Merci!

No elevator so some people may have trouble if allocated a 3rd floor room.

Small rooms where you can hear everything - from the neighbors in the room next door, upstairs... the talking, the showers and drains, it was pretty loud. The double bed was ok for one, but for two I think it would be small.

Good location. Very clean and the bed was comfortable. Nice places nearby: bars, restaurants, the beautiful park and also not far from the train station and the center. Very friendly staff (from the reception to the cleaning lady). And one of the places where the reception is open 24h - not so in many other small hotels in Nantes.
