Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaIt had a great location, the room was functional with 3 single beds for me and my 2 adult children. The room was quiet and dark with comfortable beds which was perfect for sleeping after a long day touring Paris.

AustraliaThe cable channels were all in french, none in english. Also, if you could include some child friendly food on the menu such as chicken nuggets, that would be awesome
The staff were all very friendly and the location was excellent. 100m to Notre Dame and 950m to the Louvre. The restaurant was great and the Beef Bourginon was excellent. Highly recommend

Great location in the latin quarter. My room was at the back of the hotel so really quiet considering the location. Reasonable value compared to others.

United KingdomIt's a very old building and it's clear the bathrooms/decor have not been updated in a long time but I think that's reflected in the price.
The location is great, right in the Latin Quarter. Even though you are amongst the bars and restaurants there is no noise from the streets when the windows are closed. The beds were comfortable.

United KingdomWe were rushed out of the breakfast room every morning at 10am so that they could prepare for lunch. A young family arrived at 9.55am and were refused breakfast. The water was turned off at midnight for 6 hours. Very strange. Couldn’t use the toilet or shower effectively during these hours. Dripping toilet cistern on the last night kept me awake all evening. My fault but I left my shoes/boots in the hotel room on departure. I went back 2 hours later to check with lost property and was told nothing was in the room and it had been fully cleaned. I can’t be certain but I can only assume the cleaning staff stole my shoes or threw them away. I’d stay again as the positives outweighed the negatives.
Perfect location. Right in the heart of the Latin Quarter. 10 second walk to the Seine and Notre Dame. Easy access to CDG airport and Gare De Nord station. Top end 2 star hotel, could easily be a 3 star. Cute little breakfast. Value for money. Gentleman on the front desk was extremely welcoming and friendly. Also gave us lots of local knowledge on where to go. Late checkout as standard and allowed to leave bags for free.

United KingdomTiny room, tiny bed, no head room. Breakfast was a set plate of things I didn't want. Very small cup of coffee and a charge imposed for any more, regardless of all the things I didn't want. More ordinary (fresh) bread would be nice and less sweet stuff.
Not a lot! Staff were pleasant though.

IrelandVery minor but we had to hold shower head in your hand to shower. The wall fixture didn’t point the water in the right direction.
Location was great. Room had a view over the cobblestone street below. Once the window was shut you couldn’t hear a thing.

United States of AmericaThe bathroom was clean, but really tight. Not made for larger people if this applies to you. The shower was barely 3 feet square and the toilet was very snug between two walls and the sink in front of it. Towels were clean, but needed to be refreshed as they were old and thin. It could get loud in the morning starting at 6:00am. We were on the 3rd floor and staff/guests conversations and laughter came right up the stairwell early in the morning. Again, earplugs were a plus.
For a budget and older hotel, the two twin beds were very comfortable for me and my daughter. Location was everything: close to Saint Michel metro/RER train station, restaurants, and sites. We had no trouble getting from place to place very easily. Our room was small, but suited our needs just fine, and was clean. The windows opened up onto Rue de la Huchette which was nice when the room got warm. It's a touristy street so earplugs were helpful to sleep. Staff was friendly and could speak English.
