We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United StatesThey could use some internet/wifi boosters for the rooms in the adjacent building. We had to switch rooms upon arrival because we couldn't get any signal in the first room. We had a marginally better signal in the second. Apparently the signal in the mail hotel and on the third floor of the adjacent building have stronger connections
We arrived a bit earlier than expected, and though we had booked a room with a view of the lake, but upon arrival we were given a ground floor room. When I inquired about the lake-view room, I was told that it wasn't cleaned yet, but they also told me that it was on the 3rd floor, with no lift, which I am not able to access. The ground floor room was actually better than the 3rd-floor lake-view, and I was very grateful for the room change. Also, even though the hotel was extremely understaffed, the employees working that day were extremely helpful, patient, kind, and hard-working, especially the gentleman at the front desk (who was also acting as host and waiter at the restaurant that night!), whose name I think was Melvin or Melville? Excellent person!

United KingdomWhilst we had no complaints about the breakfast itself, staffing of the breakfast room was non-existent. On each morning of our three-day stay we and/or other guests had to leave the breakfast room to ask at reception for a table to be set or for various items to be replenished. This they did willingly, but we were disappointed and felt that the lack of attention let the hotel down.
A quiet hotel in a very pleasant situation. Our spacious room had a view over the lake. Nice ambience in the restaurant with attentive service and good food & wine list. Easy free parking.

JerseyThe property at first glance appears old but the hotel is welcoming, clean and cosy. The staff are friendly and very helpful. we had an issue with the size of the double bed in the family room when we arrived with our 2 children. It was a small double. The staff were extremely helpful to rectify the problem efficiently and move us to a new room without any bother. The hotel is well situated, just next to the Chateau and within walking distance of the lake and lots of nice restaurants and shops. La Lanterne Restaurant (Creperie and Pizzeria) was a particular favourite. Lovely food in a family friendly atmosphere. I would recommend this hotel.
