Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandBasic hotel room rate very acceptable, but ancillary charges for having small dog along (chihuahua), for inside parking during low season (parking was basically empty) and for requested bottle of water on arrival were all high, which made our very pleasant stay somewhat more expensive than expected.
Secluded and peaceful, with magnificent garden. Great breakfast. Good restaurant within walking distance.

FranceAmazing views! Even from the bathroom. The building is old but charming (not for very tall people). Honestly with a view like this (we booked see view) you can’t complain about anything. The bed was confortable. Staff was helpful and friendly. Very central. Amazing !

I traveled a lot in my life, but I can hardly recall a better hotel. The location is simply perfect, the owners extremely helpful and friendly. One immediately forgets the everyday life and enjoys the mediterranian beauty. A beach at 150 meters distance, but absolute calm at night. A splendid garden with swimming pool. For us the stay represented the very best that France has to offer.

United States of AmericaThere is everything to like about this hotel: family owned, warm welcome, serene exotic garden, sea view from some rooms, delicious breakfast served near the pool, walking distance from the beach and a trail along the Mediterranean, several restaurants down the street on Port des Oursinieres, quiet, peaceful, off the beaten tracks. We love it.

loved the room with special sea view and the garden and pool are were wonderful. the bedroom and bathroom were comfortable with small fridge etc. it was so close to the small beach and at least three brasserie style restaurants - all of which were excellent. sadly we did not get time to go to La Chanterelle but it looked very special with attractive garden.

FranceShame to be only rated a 3-star hotel because it is an excellent hotel for that rating. However price was more befitting a 4-star hotel without some of the facilities one would associate with a 4-star facility. The restaurant was very good but again quite pricy for what was offered.
Very good breakfast, lovely gardens with a very good swimming pool. My room had a nice private patio and staff were very friendly and efficient.

The location is in walking distance of beach and local restaurants. The service was friendly and personal and welcoming for a family with a dog. Every detail had been thought out. The food was excellent. The pool area and gardens are perfect for relaxing. The rooms are spotlessly clean and air conditioned.

GermanyA gem where you would not expect it. Beautiful old house, restaurant and garden Corinne and family are very friendly and helpful. The pool and garden are simply amazing - so beautiful and typical Provence. We spent many hours every day just in the garden and at the pool enjoying the beautiful plants, light breeze and shadow from the pine trees. We were there in mid-June which is awesome as the area is not overrun but everything is already in bloom and the weather is great.

HungaryWe loved to take a tour in the beautiful garden. Although our room wasn't a sea view one but from the balcony you could enjoy it. The owner is kind and lovely. We had a breakfast which consisted of various bakery products and home made joghurt and flan. They also have a restaurant where you can have dinner and lunch but we haven't tried it. The marina is at the end of the property. It's much more beautiful in reality than from pictures.

United States of AmericaThe staff were pushy trying to sell us ferry tickets to the nearby islands, pushing us every morning at breakfast. Overall the owner was nosey and at one point walked around a barrier onto our patio without knocking or otherwise announcing herself to ask us a question. Be careful to check your booking for whether breakfast is included with your booking. It was not for us but upon check in the owner’s son implied it was included, and we didn’t check our booking, which was our fault, but we were surprised to have a 20$+ charge per person per day for a cold continental breakfast, which is a terrible price. Additionally, the pool area was not cleaned up several of the days we were there, with the cover left on the deck and the automatic cleaner in the pool running until mid day.
